Demonstration circuit 1688A is a sealed-lead acid 2A battery charger for solar power applications featuring the LT3652HVEDD. The LT3652HV is a complete mid-power battery charger that can operate over a wide input voltage range. The charger employs a 3.3V battery voltage feedback reference that allows the voltage for charging to be adjusted up to 18V. The LT3652HV has an input voltage regulation loop which reduces charge current if the input falls below a programmed level, set with a resistor divider. The circuit provides constant-current/constant-voltage charging with a maximum charge current of 2A that is programmed by a current sense resistor.

Demonstration circuit 1726 is a dual high efficiency monolithic step-down (buck) DC/DC switching regulator designed for double-data-rate (DDR) memory termination in computer systems. The VDDQ output is capable of sourcing and sinking up to 3A with output voltages of 1.5V, 1.8V, 2.5V plus an optional voltage, selected using jumpers. The VTT output can also source and sink up to 3A with an output voltage equal to half of the VDDQ voltage, half of the input voltage or half of an externally applied voltage, selected using a jumper. An additional low current output (VTTR) equal to the VTT voltage capable of sourcing and sinking up to 10mA is included. Input voltage range is from 2.25V to 5.5V with overvoltage protection for transients exceeding 6.5V.

The LTM2883 is a complete galvanic 6-channel digital ?Module? (micromodule) isolator. No external components are required. A single 3.3V or 5V supply powers both sides of the interface through an integrated, isolated DC/DC converter. A logic supply pin allows easy interfacing with different logic levels from 1.62V to 5.5V, independent of the main supply.Available options are compliant with SPI and I2C (master mode only) specifications.The isolated side includes ?12.5V and 5V nominal power supplies, each capable of providing more than 20mA of load current. The input voltage range is from 4.5V to 14V and it provides 1.5V at 15A at the output. The DC1771A is configured with a sense resistor. DCR sensing circuit is optional. Using the inductor’s DCR as the sense element instead of the on-board sense resistor saves cost and board space while improving full-load efficiency over 2%, though the sense resistor provides a more accurate current limit.

The LT3795 is a DC/DC controller designed to regulate a constant-current or constant-voltage and is ideal for driving LEDs. It drives a low side external N-channel power MOSFET from an internal regulated 7.7V supply. The fixed frequency and current mode architecture result in stable operation over a wide range of supply and output voltages. Spread spectrum frequency modulation (SSFM) can be activated for improved electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) performance. The ground referred voltage FB pin serves as the input for several LED protection features, and also allows the converter to operate as a constant-voltage source. The maximum output current is set by an external resistor, and the output current amplifier has a rail-to-rail common mode range. The LT3795 also includes a separate input current sensing amplifier that is used to limit input current. The TG pin inverts and level shifts the PWM signal to drive the gate of the external PMOS. The LTC6803 is a 2nd generation, complete battery monitoring IC that includes a 12-bit ADC, a precision voltage reference, a high voltage input multiplexer and a serial interface. Each LTC6803 can measure up to 12 series connected battery cells or supercapacitors. Many LTC6803 devices can be stacked to measure the voltage of each cell in a long battery string. DC1870A is a 1.5A low dropout linear regulator featuring the LT3081. The device is designed for rugged industrial applications and can be paralleled for higher output current or heat spreading. Besides paralleling, the LT3081 also presents other features including adjustability to zero VOUT, reverse protection for input and output-to-input voltages, temperature monitor, output current monitor, etc. A key feature of the LT3081 is the extended safe operating area (SOA). With the precision zero TC 50μA reference current source, a single resistor programs the output voltage to any level between zero and 34.5V.
