The AD8337 is a low noise, single-ended, linear-in-dB, general-purpose variable gain amplifier (VGA) usable at frequencies from dc to 100 MHz; the ?3 dB bandwidth is 280 MHz. Excellent bandwidth uniformity across the entire gain range and low output-referred noise makes the AD8337 ideal for gain trim applications and for driving high speed analog-to-digital converters (ADCs).Excellent dc characteristics combined with high speed make the AD8337 particularly suited for industrial ultrasound, PET scanners, and video applications. Dual-supply operation enables gain control of negative-going pulses such as generated by photodiodes or photomultiplier tubes.The AD8337 uses the popular and versatile X-AMP? architecture, exclusively from Analog Devices, Inc., with a gain range of 24 dB. The gain control interface provides precise linear-in-dB scaling of 19.7 dB/V, referenced to VCOM.The AD8337 includes an uncommitted operational current-feedback preamplifier (PrA) that operates in inverting or noninverting configurations. Using external resistors, the device can be configured for gains of 6 dB or greater. The AD8337 is characterized by a noninverting PrA gain of 2? using two external 100 ? resistors. The attenuator has a range of 24 dB, and the output amplifier has a fixed gain of 8? (18.06 dB). The lowest nominal gain range is 0 dB to 24 dB and can be shifted up or down by adjusting the preamp gain. Highest Performance, Low EMI Evaluation Board for LT8357

Evaluation circuit EVAL-LT8357-AZ features the LT8357 as a 200kHz low EMI and low IQ, boost controller with a 24V output from 4.5V to 20V input. This evaluation circuit features Spread Spectrum Frequency Modulation (SSFM) and EMI filters to provide optimum EMI performance. The board also contains placeholders and an outline to attach clips for an optional EMI Shield attachment. This application circuit can output 2A (see Figure 4 Maximum Output Current vs VIN curve in the user guide). When placed in shutdown, the converter has very low quiescent current, ideal in automotive and other battery-powered applications. PULSE SKIP and BURST modes are selectable with jumper JP1. Each user-selectable option enables low quiescent current at light load and can also be combined with SSFM operation using JP1.
The LT8357 boost controller IC operates over an input range of 3V to 60V, suitable for automotive, telecom and industrial applications. It exhibits a low quiescent current of 8μA, making it ideal for battery-operated systems. It drives a low side N-channel power MOSFET with a 5V split gate drive. The converter provides adjustable and synchronizable operation from 100kHz to 2MHz with SSFM option. At light load, either PULSE SKIP or low-ripple BURST mode can be selected to improve the efficiency. The LT8357 packs popular features such as soft-start, input undervoltage lockout, adjustable switching frequency and clock synchronization. The Power Good (PGOOD) flag indicates when the output voltage is in regulation.

The AD7992 is a 12-bit, low power, successive approximation ADC with an I2 C-compatible interface. The part operates from a single 2.7 V to 5.5 V power supply and features a 2 ?s conversion time. The part contains a 2-channel multiplexer and track-and-hold amplifier that can handle input frequencies up to 11 MHz. The AD7992 provides a 2-wire serial interface compatible with I2C interfaces. The part comes in two versions, the AD7992-0 and the AD7992-1, and each version allows for at least two different I2C addresses. The AD7992-0 supports standard and fast I2C interface modes, and the AD7992-1 supports standard, fast, and high speed I2C interface modes. The AD7992 normally remains in a shutdown state while not converting, and powers up only for conversions. The conversion process can be controlled using the CONVST pin, by a command mode where conversions occur across I2C write operations, or an automatic conversion interval mode selected through software control. The AD7992 requires an external reference in the range of 1.2 V to VDD. This allows the widest dynamic input range to the ADC. On-chip limit registers can be programmed with high and low limits for the conversion result, and an open-drain, out-of-range indicator output (ALERT) becomes active when the conversion result violates the programmed high or low limits. The AD9213 features a 16-lane JESD204B interface to support maximum bandwidth capability.The AD9213 achieves dynamic range and linearity performance while consuming <4.6 W typical. The device is based on an interleaved pipeline architecture and features a proprietary calibration and randomization technique that suppresses interleaving spurious artifacts into its noise floor. The linearity performance of the AD9213 is preserved by a combination of on-chip dithering and calibration, which results in excellent spurious-free performance over a wide range of input signal conditions.?Applications that require less instantaneous bandwidth can benefit from the on-chip, digital signal processing (DSP) capability of the AD9213 that reduces the output data rate along with the number of JESD204B lanes required to support the device. The DSP path includes a digital downconverter (DDC) with a 48-bit, numerically controlled oscillator (NCO), followed by an I/Q digital decimator stage that allows selectable decimation rates that are factors of two or three. Demonstration circuit 3162A is a 18V, 10A synchronous step-down Silent Switcher® with spread spectrum frequency modulation featuring the LT8642-1. The demo board is designed for 1.2V output from a 2.8V to 18V input. The LT8642-1 is a compact, low emission, high efficiency, and high speed synchronous monolithic stepdown switching regulator. Special Silent Switcher architecture minimizes EMI emissions. Selectable spread spectrum mode can further improve EMI performance. Fast minimum on-time of 20ns enables high VIN to low VOUT conversion at high frequency.
The LT8642-1 switching frequency can be programmed either via a resistor or external clock over a 200kHz to 3MHz range. The default frequency of demo circuit 3162A is 2MHz. The LT8642-1 SYNC/MODE pin on the demo board is grounded (JP1 at BURST position) by default for low ripple Burst Mode® operation. Spread spectrum mode and forced continuous mode can be selected respectively by moving JP1 shunt. To synchronize to an external clock, move JP1 to FCM/SYNC and apply the external clock to the SYNC terminal.

The LT8642-1 is assembled in a 3mm × 4mm LQFN package with exposed pads for low thermal resistance.
