Demonstration circuit 2807A features the LTC6560 single channel transimpedance amplifier (TIA) with output multiplexing. The DC2807A accepts voltage pulses and converts them to current for the TIA. The LTC6560, which features 74kΩ transimpedance gain and 30µA linear input current range, is ideal for LIDAR receivers using avalanche photodiodes (APD). The LTC6560 operates from 5V single supply and consumes only 90mW. Utilizing the LTC6560’s output MUX, multiple LTC6560 devices can combine into a single output. The LTC6560’s fast overload recovery makes it well suited for LIDAR receivers. The LTC6560’s single-ended output can swing 2VP-P into a 100Ω load. The LTC6560 is packaged in a compact 3mm × 3mm 16-pin leadless QFN package with an exposed pad for thermal management and low inductance.

The LTC3766 is a PolyPhase-capable secondary-side controller for synchronous forward converters. When used in conjunction with the LTC3765 active-clamp forward controller and gate driver, the part creates a complete isolated power supply that combines the power of multiphase operation with the speed of secondary-side control.The LTC3766 has been designed to simplify the design of active clamp forward converters. Working in concert with the LTC3765, the LTC3766 forms a robust, self-starting converter that eliminates the need for the separate bias regulator that is commonly used in secondary-side control applications. The ADM1293 and ADM1294 are high accuracy integrated digital power monitors that offer digital current, voltage, and power monitoring using an on-chip, 12-bit analog-to-digital converter (ADC), communicated through a PMBus? compliant I2C interface.These devices acquire the current by measuring the voltage difference across the external sense resistor. This voltage is amplified and digitized by an internal 12-bit ADC. The same ADC can also sample the primary input voltage and an auxiliary input voltage. The internal digital block can perform multiplication of the current and primary input voltage for power calculation. The ADM1293/ADM1294 also feature a power accumulator for energy metering. An industry-standard PMBus interface allows a master controller to read back these data from the device. The HMC540SLP3E is a broadband 4-bit Silicon IC digital attenuator in a low cost leadless surface mount package. This single positive control line per bit digital attenuator utilizes off chip AC ground capacitors for near DC operation, making it suitable for a wide variety of RF and IF applications. Covering 0.1 to 8 GHz, the insertion loss is less than 1 dB typical. The attenuator bit values are 1 (LSB), 2, 4 and 8 dB for a total attenuation of 15 dB. Attenuation accuracy is excellent at ? 0.2 dB typical step error. The attenuator also features a IIP3 of +56dBm. Four TTL/CMOS control inputs are used to select each attenuation state.
