MAX17559EVKIT#

Analog Devices Inc.
The MAX17559 is a dual-output, synchronous step-down controller that drives nMOSFETs. The device uses a constant-frequency, peak-current-mode architecture. The two outputs can be configured as independent voltage rails. Input capacitor size is minimized by running the two outputs 180° out-of-phase.The IC supports current sensing using either an external current-sense resistor for accuracy or an inductor DCR forimproved system efficiency. Current foldback or latchoff limits MOSFET power dissipation under short-circuit conditions. The IC provides independent adjustable soft-start/stop for each output and can start up monotonically into a prebiased output. The IC can be configured in either PWM or DCM modes of operation, depending on whether constant-frequency operation or light-load efficiency is desired. The IC operates over the -40°C to +125°C temperature range and is available in a lead(Pb)-free, 7mm × 7mm, 32-pin TQFP, package.ApplicationsComputerized Numerical ControlDistributed DC Power SystemsIndustrial Power SuppliesMotion ControlProgrammable Logic Controllers

MAX40088EVKIT#

Analog Devices Inc.
The MAX40075/MAX40088 are wideband, low-noise, low-input bias current operational amplifiers offering rail-to-rail outputs and single-supply operation down to 2.7V. They draw 2.2mA of quiescent supply current per amplifier when enabled and have ultra-low distortion (0.0002% THD+N), as well as low input voltage-noise density (4.2nV/) and low input current-noise density (0.5fA/). The low input bias current and low noise together with the wide bandwidth suit transimpedance amplifiers and imaging applications. For power conservation, the MAX40075/MAX40088 offer a low-power shutdown mode that reduces supply current to 0.1µA and places the amplifiers outputs into a high impedance state. These amplifiers have outputs which swing rail-to-rail and their input common-mode voltage range includes ground. The MAX40075 is unity-gain stable with a gain-bandwidth product of 10MHz. The MAX40088 is gain-of-5 stable with a gain-bandwidth product of 42MHz.ApplicationsADC BuffersAutomotive Power TrainDAC Output AmplifiersDigital ScalesLow-Noise Microphone/PreamplifiersMedical InstrumentationStrain Gauges/Sensor AmplifiersTransimpedance Amplifiers

MAX44267EVKIT#

Analog Devices Inc.
The MAX44267 precision, low-noise, low-drift dual operational amplifier offers true-zero output that allows the output to cross zero maximizing the dynamic range of an ADC and increasing resolution. In addition, the input common-mode range extends from +13.5V down to -12V. The MAX44267 integrates charge-pump circuitry that generates the negative voltage rail in conjunction with external capacitors. This allows the amplifier to operate from a single +4.5V to +15V power supply, but it is as effective as a normal dual-rail ±4.5V to ±15V amplifier. The architecture eliminates the need for a negative power-supply rail, saving system cost and size. The MAX44267 is unity-gain stable with a gain-bandwidth product of 5MHz. The device features low offset voltage of 50µV (max), drift of 0.4µV/°C (max), and 200nVP-P noise from 0.1Hz to 10Hz. The low offset and noise specifications and wide input common-mode range make the device ideal for sensor transmitters and interfaces. Varying the external charge pump capacitors enables the charge-pump noise to be minimized. The MAX44267 is part of a family of signal chain ICs including amplifiers, multiplexers and ADCs. These ICs eliminate the need for a negative supply to the multiplexer, amplifier and ADC, saving space and cost. See the Typical Application Circuit and Table 1 for more information. The MAX44267 is available in a 14-pin TSSOP package and is specified over the -40°C to +125°C operating temperature range.ApplicationsAnalog Level Shifting/ConditioningBridge SensorsPLC Analog I/O ModulesPressure SensorsSensor Interfaces

The MAX148/MAX149 10-bit data-acquisition systems combine an 8-channel multiplexer, high-bandwidthtrack/hold, and serial interface with high conversion speed and low power consumption. They operate from a single +2.7V to +5.25V supply, and sample to 133ksps. Both devices’ analog inputs are software configurable for unipolar/bipolar and single-ended/differential operation. The 4-wire serial interface connects directly to SPI/QSPI™ and MICROWIRE™ devices without external logic. A serial-strobe output allows direct connection to TMS320-family digital signal processors. The MAX148/MAX149 use either the internal clock or an external serial-interface clock to perform successive-approximation analog-to-digital conversions. The MAX149 has an internal 2.5V reference, while the MAX148 requires an external reference. Both parts have a reference-buffer amplifier with a ±1.5% voltage-adjustment range. These devices provide a hard-wired active-low SHDN pin and a software-selectable power-down, and can be programmed to automatically shut down at the end of a conversion. Accessing the serial interface automatically powers up the MAX148/MAX149, and the quick turn-on time allows them to be shut down between all conversions. This technique can cut supply current to under 60µA at reduced sampling rates. The MAX148/MAX149 are available in 20-pin PDIP and 20-pin SSOP packages. For 4-channel versions of these devices, see the MAX1248/MAX1249 data sheet.ApplicationsBattery-Powered InstrumentsData AcquisitionMedical InstrumentsPen DigitizersPortable Data LoggingProcess Control

MAX17498BEVKIT#

Analog Devices Inc.
The MAX17498A/MAX17498B/MAX17498C devices are current-mode fixed-frequency flyback/boost converters with a minimum number of external components. They contain all the control circuitry required to design wide input voltage isolated and nonisolated power supplies. The MAX17498A has its rising/falling undervoltage lockout (UVLO) thresholds optimized for universal offline (85V AC to 265V AC) applications, while the MAX17498B/MAX17498C support UVLO thresholds suitable to low-voltage DC-DC applications. The switching frequency of the MAX17498A/MAX17498C is 250kHz, while that of the MAX17498B is 500kHz. These frequencies allow the use of tiny magnetic and filter components, resulting in compact, cost-effective power supplies. An EN/UVLO input allows the user to start the power supply precisely at the desired input voltage, while also functioning as an on/off pin. The OVI pin enables implementation of an input overvoltage-protection scheme that ensures that the converter shuts down when the DC input voltage exceeds the desired maximum value. The devices incorporate a flexible error amplifier and an accurate reference voltage (REF) to enable the end user to regulate both positive and negative outputs. Programmable current limit allows proper sizing and protection of the primary switching FET. The devices support a maximum duty cycle greater than 92% and provide programmable slope compensation to allow optimization of control loop performance. The devices provide an open-drain PGOOD pin that serves as a power-good indicator and enters the high-impedance state to indicate that the flyback/boost converter is in regulation. An SS pin allows programmable soft-start time for the flyback/boost converter. Hiccup-mode overcurrent protection and thermal shutdown are provided to minimize dissipation under overcurrent and overtemperature fault conditions. The devices are available in a space-saving, 16-pin (3mm x 3mm) TQFN package with 0.5mm lead spacing.ApplicationsFront-End AC/DC Power Supplies for Industrial Applications (Isolated and Nonisolated)Telecom Power SuppliesWide Input Range DC Input Flyback/Boost Industrial Power Supplies
