The AD7417 and AD7418 are 10-bit, 4-channel and single-channelADCs with an on-chip temperature sensor that can operate from asingle 2.7 V to 5.5 V power supply. The devices contain a 15 μssuccessive approximation converter, a 5-channel multiplexer, atemperature sensor, a clock oscillator, a track-and-hold, and areference (2.5 V). The AD7416 is a temperature-monitoring onlydevice in an 8-lead package.The temperature sensor on the parts can be accessed via multiplexerChannel 0. When Channel 0 is selected and a conversionis initiated, the resulting ADC code at the end of the conversiongives a measurement of the ambient temperature (±1°C @ 25°C).On-chip registers can be programmed with high and low temperaturelimits, and an open-drain overtemperature indicator (OTI)output is provided, which becomes active when a programmedlimit is exceeded.A configuration register allows programming of the sense of theOTI output (active high or active low) and its operating mode(comparator or interrupt). A programmable fault queue counterallows the number of out-of-limit measurements that mustoccur before triggering the OTI output to be set to preventspurious triggering of the OTI output in noisy environments.An I2C® compatible serial interface allows the AD7416/AD7417/AD7418 registers to be written to and read back. The threeLSBs of the AD7416/AD7417 serial bus address can be selected,which allows up to eight AD7416/AD7417 devices to be connectedto a single bus.The AD7417 is available in a narrow body, 0.15 inch, 16-lead,small outline package (SOIC) and in a 16-lead, thin shrink,small outline package (TSSOP). An overtemperature indicator is implemented by carrying out a digital comparison of the ADC code for Channel 0 (temperature sensor) with the contents of the on-chip TOTI setpoint register. The AD7417 offers a space-saving, 10-bit analog-to-digital solution with four external voltage input channels, an onchip temperature sensor, an on-chip reference, and a clock oscillator. The automatic power-down feature enables the AD7416/ AD7417/AD7418 to achieve superior power performance. The AD7441 / AD7451 are, respectively, 10-/12-bit high speed, low power, single-supply, successive approximation (SAR), analog-to-digital converters (ADCs) that feature a pseudo differential analog input. These parts operate from a single 2.7 V to 5.25 V power supply and achieve very low power dissipation at high throughput rates of up to 1 MSPS.The AD7441 / AD7451 contain a low noise, wide bandwidth, differential track-and-hold (T/H) amplifier that handles input frequencies up to 3.5 MHz. The reference voltage for these devices is applied externally to the VREF pin and can range from 100 mV to VDD, depending on the power supply and what suits the application.The conversion process and data acquisition are controlled using overbar: CS and the serial clock, allowing the device to interface with microprocessors or DSPs. The input signals are sampled on the falling edge of overbar: CS when the conversion is initiated. The AD8061/AD8062/AD8063 are rail-to-rail output voltage feedback amplifiers offering ease of use and low cost. They have a bandwidth and slew rate typically found in current feedback amplifiers. All have a wide input common-mode voltage range and output voltage swing, making them easy to use on single supplies as low as 2.7 V.Despite being low cost, the AD8061/AD8062/AD8063 provide excellent overall performance. These amplifiers are developed in the Analog Devices, Inc. proprietary XFCB process and allow exceptionally low noise operation (7.0 nV/√Hz and 0.6 fA/√Hz) as well as very high input impedance.With a wide supply voltage range from 5 V to 24 V, the ability to operate on single supplies, and a bandwidth of 145 MHz, the AD8065/AD8066 are designed to work in a variety of applications. For added versatility, the amplifiers also contain rail-to-rail outputs.Despite the low cost, the amplifiers provide excellent overall performance. The differential gain and phase errors of 0.02% and 0.02°, respectively, along with 0.1 dB flatness out to 7 MHz, make these amplifiers ideal for video applications. Additionally, they offer a high slew rate of 180 V/µs, excellent distortion (SFDR of −88 dBc @ 1 MHz), extremely high common-mode rejection of −100 dB, and a low input offset voltage of 1.5 mV maximum under warmed up conditions. The AD820 is a precision, low power FET input op amp that can operate from a single supply of 5 V to 36 V, or dual supplies of ±2.5 V to ±18 V. It has true single-supply capability, with an input voltage range extending below the negative rail, allowing the AD820 to accommodate input signals below ground in the single-supply mode. Output voltage swing extends to within 10 mV of each rail, providing the maximum output dynamic range. Offset voltage of 800 μV maximum, offset voltage drift of 2 μV/°C, typical input bias currents below 25 pA, and low input voltage noise provide dc precision with source impedances up to 1 GΩ. 1.8 MHz unity gain bandwidth, −93 dB THD at 10 kHz, and 3 V/μs slew rate are provided for a low supply current of 800 μA. The AD820 drives up to 350 pF of direct capacitive load and provides a minimum output current of 15 mA. This allows the amplifier to handle a wide range of load conditions. This combination of ac and dc performance, plus the outstanding load drive capability, results in an exceptionally versatile amplifier for the single-supply user.The AD820 is available in two performance grades. The AD8220 is the first single-supply, JFET input instrumentation amplifier available in an MSOP package. Designed to meet the needs of high performance, portable instrumentation, the AD8220 has a minimum common-mode rejection ratio (CMRR) of 86 dB at dc and a minimum CMRR of 80 dB at 5 kHz for G = 1. Maximum input bias current is 10 pA and typically remains below 300 pA over the entire industrial temperature range. Despite the JFET inputs, the AD8220 typically has a noise corner of only 10 Hz.With the proliferation of mixed-signal processing, the number of power supplies required in each system has grown. The AD8220 is designed to alleviate this problem. The AD8220 can operate on a ±18 V dual supply, as well as on a single +5 V supply. Its rail-to-rail output stage maximizes dynamic range on the low voltage supplies common in portable applications. Its ability to run on a single 5 V supply eliminates the need to use higher voltage, dual supplies. The AD8220 draws a maximum of 750 μA of quiescent current, making it ideal for battery powered devices.Gain is set from 1 to 1000 with a single resistor. Increasing the gain increases the common-mode rejection. Measurements that need higher CMRR when reading small signals benefit when the AD8220 is set for large gains.A reference pin allows the user to offset the output voltage. This feature is useful when interfacing with analog-to-digital converters. The AD8220 is available in an MSOP that takes roughly half the board area of an SOIC. The AD8253 is an instrumentation amplifier with digitally programmable gains that has gigaohm (GΩ) input impedance, low output noise, and low distortion, making it suitable for interfacing with sensors and driving high sample rate analog-to-digital converters (ADCs).It has a high bandwidth of 10 MHz, low THD of −110 dB, and fast settling time of 780 ns (maximum) to 0.001%. Offset drift and gain drift are guaranteed to 1.2 µV/°C and 10 ppm/°C, respectively, for G = 1000. In addition to its wide input common voltage range, it boasts a high common-mode rejection of 100 dB at G = 1000 from dc to 20 kHz. The combination of precision dc performance coupled with high speed capabilities makes the AD8253 an excellent candidate for data acquisition. Furthermore, this monolithic solution simplifies design and manufacturing and boosts performance of instrumentation by maintaining a tight match of internal resistors and amplifiers.The AD8253 user interface consists of a parallel port that allows users to set the gain in one of two different ways (see Figure 1 for the functional block diagram). A 2-bit word sent via a bus can be latched using the WR input. They have a wide supply range and offsetvoltages below 10 mV. The AD8565 / AD8566 / AD8567 are idealfor LCD grayscale reference buffer and VCOM applications.The AD8565 / AD8566 / AD8567 are specified over the −40°C to+85°C temperature range. The AD8565 single is available in a5-lead SC70 package. The AD8566 dual is available in an 8-leadMSOP package. The AD8567 quad is available in a 14-leadTSSOP package and a 16-lead LFCSP package.The AD8566WARMZ is the automotive grade version.
