The ADCMP580/ADCMP581/ADCMP582 are ultrafast voltagecomparators fabricated on the Analog Devices, Inc. proprietaryXFCB3 Silicon Germanium (SiGe) bipolar process. TheADCMP580 features CML output drivers, the ADCMP581features reduced swing ECL (negative ECL) output drivers, andthe ADCMP582 features reduced swing PECL (positive ECL)output drivers.All three comparators offer 180 ps propagation delay and 100 psminimum pulse width for 10 Gbps operation with 200 fs randomjitter (RJ). Overdrive and slew rate dispersion are typically lessthan 15 ps.The ?5 V power supplies enable a wide ?2 V to +3 V inputrange with logic levels referenced to the CML/NECL/PECLoutputs. The inputs have 50 ? on-chip termination resistorswith the optional capability to be left open (on an individualpin basis) for applications requiring high impedance input. The CML output stage is designed to directly drive 400 mV into50 ? transmission lines terminated to ground. The NECL outputstages are designed to directly drive 400 mV into 50 ? terminatedto ?2 V. The ADM1192 is an integrated current sense amplifier that offers digital current and voltage monitoring via an on-chip, 12-bit analog-to-digital converter (ADC), communicated through an I2C interface.An internal current sense amplifier senses voltage across the sense resistor in the power path via the VCC pin and the SENSE pin.A 12-bit ADC can measure the current seen in the sense resistor and in the supply voltage on the VCC pin. An industry-standard I2C interface allows a controller to read current and voltage data from the ADC. Measurements can be initiated by an I2C command. Alternatively, the ADC can run continuously, and the user can read the latest conversion data whenever it is required. Up to four unique I2C addresses can be created, depending on the way the ADR pin is connected.A SETV pin is also included. A voltage applied to this pin is internally compared to the output voltage on the current sense amplifier. The output of the SETV comparator asserts when the current sense amplifier output exceeds the SETV voltage. This event is detected at the ALERT block. The ALERT block then charges up the external TIMER capacitor with a fixed current. When this timing cycle is complete, the ALERT output asserts.The ALERT output can be used as a flag to warn a micro-controller or field programmable gate array (FPGA) of an overcurrent condition. ALERT outputs of multiple ADM1192 devices can be tied together and used as a combined alert.A basic P-channel FET hot swap circuit can be implemented with the ALERT output. The LTC6228/LTC6229 are single/dual very fast, low noise rail-to-rail output, unity gain stable op amps. They have a gain-bandwidth product of 890MHz and a slew rate of 500V/?s. The low input referred voltage noise of only 0.88nV/?Hz and low distortion performance of better than ?100dB at 4VP-P even for signals as fast as 2MHz make them ideal for applications that require high dynamic range and deal with high slew rate signals, such as driving A/D converters. Additional features include Shutdown and the ability to enable/disable internal bias current cancellation to optimize noise performance.The combination of low offset, low offset drift, high gain and high CMRR make the LTC6228 family the superior choice for wide dynamic range applications.The LTC6228 family maintains excellent performance for supply voltages of 2.8V to 11.75V and the devices are specified at supplies of 3V, 5V and 10V(?5V). With an input range extending to the negative rail and an output range that encompasses the entire supply range, the operational amplifier can accommodate wide swinging signals, and single supply operation.For space constrained PCB layouts, the LTC6228 is available in a 2mm ? 2mm DFN and the LTC6229 is available in a 3mm ? 3mm DFN.
