Demonstration circuit 2071A features the LTC2373 family. The LTC2374/LTC2373/LTC2372 are low noise, high speed, 8-channel, 16/18-bit successive approximation register (SAR) ADCs. The demo manual refers to the LTC2373-18 but applies to all parts in the family, the only differences being the number of bits and the maximum sample rate. Operating from a single 5V supply, the LTC2373-18 has a highly configurable, low crosstalk, 8-channel input multiplexer, supporting fully differential, pseudo-differential unipolar and pseudo-differential bipolar analog input ranges.

Demonstration circuit 2085 supports the LTC2000 and LTC2000A, a high speed, high dynamic range family of DACs. It was specially designed for applications that require differential DC coupled outputs. The LTC2348-18 is an 18-bit, low noise 8-channel simultaneous sampling successive approximation register (SAR) ADC with differential, wide common mode range inputs. Operating from a 5V low voltage supply, flexible high voltage supplies, and using the internal reference and buffer, each channel of this SoftSpan? ADC can be independently configured on a conversion-by-conversion basis to accept ?10.24V, 0V to 10.24V, ?5.12V, or 0V to 5.12V signals. Individual channels may also be disabled to increase throughput on the remaining channels.The wide input common mode range and 118dB CMRR of the LTC2348-18 analog inputs allow the ADC to directly digitize a variety of signals, simplifying signal chain design. The demo manual refers to the LTC2348-18 but applies to all parts in the family, the only differences being the number of bits, number of channels and the maximum sample rate. The LTC2348-18 has a flexible SoftSpan™ interface that allows conversion-by-conversion control of the input voltage span on a per-channel basis. An internal 2.048V reference and 2X buffer simplify basic operation while an external reference can be used to increase the input range and the SNR of the ADC.

The LTC2216/LTC2215 are 80Msps/65Msps sampling 16- bit A/D converters designed for digitizing high frequency, wide dynamic range signals with input frequencies up to 400MHz. The input range of the ADC is ?xed at 2.75VP-P.The LTC2216/LTC2215 are perfect for demanding communications applications, with AC performance that includes 81.5dBFS noise ?oor and 100dB spurious free dynamic range (SFDR). Demonstration circuit 873 features the LTC1867L Octal 16-bit ADC. The LTC1867L can be software programmed for a unipolar 0 to 2.5V or bipolar ±1.25V input range. The 8 channel multiplexer can be programmed for 8 single-ended inputs with respect to ground, 7 single-ended inputs with respect to the COM/CH7 pin, 4 differential inputs, or any combination of these.

The LTC1408 is a 14-bit, 600ksps ADC with six simultaneously sampled differential inputs. The device draws only 5mA from a single 3V supply, and comes in a tiny 32 pin (5mm ? 5mm) QFN package. A SLEEP shutdown feature lowers power consumption to 6?W. The combination of low power and tiny package makes the LTC1408 suitable for portable applications.The LTC1408 contains six separate differential inputs that are sampled simultaneously on the rising edge of the CONV signal. These six sampled inputs are then converted at a rate of 100ksps per channel.The 90dB common mode rejection allows users to eliminate ground loops and common mode noise by measuring signals differentially from the source.The device converts 0V to 2.5V unipolar inputs differentially, or ?1.25V bipolar inputs also differentially, depending on the state of the BIP pin.
