DAC8413FPCZ
Analog Devices Inc.
The DAC8412 / DAC8413 are quad, 12-bit voltage output DACs with readback capability. Built using a complementary BiCMOS process, these monolithic DACs offer the user very high package density.Output voltage swing is set by the two reference inputs VREFH and VREFL. By setting the VREFL input to 0 V and VREFH to a positive voltage, the DAC provides a unipolar positive output range. A similar configuration with VREFH at 0 V and VREFL at a negative voltage provides a unipolar negative output range. Bipolar outputs are configured by connecting both VREFH and VREFL to nonzero voltages. This method of setting output voltage range has advantages over other bipolar offsetting methods because it is not dependent on internal and external resistors with different temperature coefficients.Digital controls allow the user to load or read back data from any DAC, load any DAC, and transfer data to all DACs at one time.An active low RESET loads all DAC output registers to midscale for the DAC8412 and zero scale for the DAC8413.The DAC8412 / DAC8413 are available in 28-lead plastic DIP, 28-lead ceramic DIP, 28-lead PLCC, and 28-lead LCC packages. They can be operated from a wide variety of supply and reference voltages with supplies ranging from single +5 V to ±15 V, and references from +2.5 V to ±10 V. Power dissipation is less than 330 mW with ±15 V supplies and only 60 mW with a +5 V supply. For MIL-STD-883 applications, contact your local Analog Devices, Inc. sales office for the DAC8412/DAC8413/883 data sheet, which specifies operation over the −55°C to +125°C temperature range. All 883 parts are also available on Standard Military Drawings 5962-91 76401MXA through 76404M3A.APPLICATIONS Automatic test equipment Digitally controlled calibration Servo controls Process control equipment

DAC8420EPZ
Analog Devices Inc.
The DAC8420 is a quad, 12-bit voltage-output DAC with serial digital interface in a 16-lead package. Utilizing BiCMOS technology, this monolithic device features unusually high circuit density and lowpower consumption. The simple, easy-to-use serial digital input and fully buffered analog voltage outputs require no external components to achieve a specified performance. The 3-wire serial digital input is easily interfaced to micro-processors running at 10 MHz with minimal additional circuitry. Each DAC is addressed individually by a 16-bit serial word consisting of a 12-bit data word and an address header. The user-programmable reset control CLR forces all four DAC outputs to either zero scale or midscale, asynchronously overriding the current DAC register values. The output voltage range, determined by the inputs VREFHI and VREFLO, is set by the user for positive or negative unipolar or bipolar signal swings within the supplies, allowing considerable design flexibility. The DAC8420 is available in 16-lead PDIP, SOIC, and CERDIP packages. Operation is specified with supplies ranging from +5 V only to ±15 V, with references of +2.5 V to ±10 V, respectively. Power dissipation when operating from ±15 V supplies is less than 255 mW (maximum) and only 35 mW (maximum) with a +5 V supply.Applications Software controlled calibration Servo controls Process control and automation ATE

AD5662BRJZ-2REEL7
Analog Devices Inc.
The AD5662, a member of the nanoDAC family, is a low power, single, 16-bit buffered voltage-out DAC that operates from a single 2.7 V to 5.5 V supply and is guaranteed monotonic by design. The AD5662 requires an external reference voltage to set the output range of the DAC. The part incorporates a power-on reset circuit that ensures the DAC output powers up to 0 V (AD5662x-1) or to midscale (AD5662x-2), and remains there until a valid write takes place. The part contains a power-down feature that reduces the current consumption of the device to 480 nA at 5 V and provides software-selectable output loads while in power-down mode. The low power consumption of this part in normal operation makes it ideally suited to portable battery-operated equipment. The power consumption is 0.75 mW at 5 V, going down to 2.4 μW in power-down mode. The AD5662’s on-chip precision output amplifier allows rail-to-rail output swing to be achieved. For remote sensing applications, the output amplifier’s inverting input is available to the user. The AD5662 uses a versatile 3-wire serial interface that operates at clock rates up to 30 MHz, and is compatible with standard SPI®, QSPI™, MICROWIRE™, and DSP interface standards. PRODUCT HIGHLIGHTS 16-bit DAC—12-bit accuracy guaranteed. Available in 8-lead SOT-23 and 8-lead MSOP packages. Low power. Typically consumes 0.42 mW at 3 V and 0.75 mW at 5 V. Power-on reset to zero scale or to midscale. 10 μs max settling time.APPLICATIONS Process control Data acquisition systems Portable battery-powered instruments Digital gain and offset adjustment Programmable voltage and current sources Programmable attenuators

The AD5668 device is a low power, octal, 16-bit, buffered voltage-output DAC. All devicesoperate from a single 2.7 V to 5.5 V supply and are guaranteedmonotonic by design. The AD5668 and AD5628 are available inboth a 4 mm × 4 mm LFCSP and a 16-lead TSSOP, while theAD5648 is available in both a 14-lead and 16-lead TSSOP.The AD5628/AD5648/AD5668 have an on-chip reference withan internal gain of 2. The AD5628-1/AD5648-1/AD5668-1 havea 1.25 V 5 ppm/°C reference, giving a full-scale output rangeof 2.5 V; the AD5628-2/AD5648-2/AD5668-2 and AD5668-3 havea 2.5 V 5 ppm/°C reference, giving a full-scale output range of5 V. The on-board reference is off at power-up, allowing the useof an external reference. The internal reference is enabled via asoftware write. The part incorporates a power-on reset circuit that ensures that theDAC output powers up to 0 V (AD5628-1/AD5648-1/AD5668-1,AD5628-2/AD5648-2/AD5668-2) or midscale (AD5668-3) andremains powered up at this level until a valid write takes place. The part contains a power-down feature that reduces the currentconsumption of the device to 400 nA at 5 V and provides software-selectable output loads while in power-down mode for any or allDAC channels. The outputs of all DACs can be updated simultaneouslyusing the LDAC function, with the added functionalityof user-selectable DAC channels to simultaneously update. Thereis also an asynchronous CLR that updates all DACs to a userprogrammablecode—zero scale, midscale, or full scale. The AD5628/AD5648/AD5668 utilize a versatile 3-wire serialinterface that operates at clock rates of up to 50 MHz and iscompatible with standard SPI®, QSPI™, MICROWIRE™, andDSP interface standards. The on-chip precision output amplifierenables rail-to-rail output swing.Product Highlights Octal, 12-/14-/16-bit DAC. On-chip 1.25 V/2.5 V, 5 ppm/°C reference. Available in 14-lead/16-lead TSSOP, 16-lead LFCSP, and 16-ball WLCSP. Power-on reset to 0 V or midscale. Power-down capability. When powered down, the DAC typically consumes 200 nA at 3 V and 400 nA at 5 V.
