Analog Devices Inc.
The AD7794/AD7795 are low power, low noise, complete analog front ends for high precision measurement applications. They contain a low noise, 24-/16-bit Σ-Δ ADC with six differential inputs. The on-chip low noise instrumentation amplifier means that signals of small amplitude can be interfaced directly to the ADC.Each device contains a precision, low noise, low drift internal band gap reference, and can also accept up to two external differential references. Other on-chip features include programmable excitation current sources, burnout currents, and a bias voltage generator that is used to set the common-mode voltage of a channel to AVDD/2. The low-side power switch can be used to power down bridge sensors between conversions, minimizing the system’s power consumption. The AD7794/AD7795 can operate with either an internal clock or an external clock. The output data rate from each part can vary from 4.17 Hz to 470 Hz.Both parts operate with a power supply from 2.7 V to 5.25 V. The B-grade parts (AD7794 and AD7795) are specified for a temperature range of −40°C to +105°C while the C-grade part (AD7794) is specified for a temperature range of −40°C to +125°C. AD9640ABCPZ-105
Analog Devices Inc.
The AD9640 is a dual 14-bit, 80/105/125/150 MSPS analog-to-digital converter (ADC). The AD9640 is designed to support communications applications where low cost, small size, and versatility are desired. The dual ADC core features a multistage, differential pipelined architecture with integrated output error correction logic. Each ADC features wide bandwidth differential sample-and-hold analog input amplifiers supporting a variety of user-selectable input ranges. An integrated voltage reference eases design considerations. A duty cycle stabilizer is provided to compensate for variations in the ADC clock duty cycle, allowing the converters to maintain excellent performance. The AD9640 has several functions that simplify the automatic gain control (AGC) function in the system receiver. The fast detect feature allows fast overrange detection by outputting four bits of input level information with very short latency. In addition, the programmable threshold detector allows monitoring of the incoming signal power using the four fast detect bits of the ADC with very low latency. If the input signal level exceeds the programmable threshold, the fine upper threshold indicator goes high. Because this threshold is set from the four MSBs, the user can quickly turn down the system gain to avoid an overrange condition. The second AGC-related function is the signal monitor. This block allows the user to monitor the composite magnitude of the incoming signal, which aids in setting the gain to optimize the dynamic range of the overall system. The ADC output data can be routed directly to the two external 14-bit output ports. These outputs can be set from 1.8 V to 3.3 V CMOS or 1.8 V LVDS.Flexible power-down options allow significant power savings, when desired.Programming for setup and control is accomplished using a 3-bit SPI-compatible serial interface. The AD9640 is available in a 64-lead LFCSP and is specified over the industrial temperature range of −40°C to +85°C.PRODUCT HIGHLIGHTS Integrated dual 14-bit, 80/105/125/150 MSPS ADC. Fast overrange detect and signal monitor with serial output. Signal monitor block with dedicated serial output mode. Proprietary differential input that maintains excellent SNR performance for input frequencies up to 450 MHz. Operation from a single 1.8 V supply and a separate digital output driver supply to accommodate 1.8 V to 3.3 V logic families. A standard serial port interface that supports various product features and functions, such as data formatting (offset binary, twos complement, or gray coding), enabling the clock DCS, power-down, and voltage reference mode. The AD5390 / AD5391 are complete single-supply, 16-channel, 14-bit and 12-bit DACs, respectively. The AD5392 is a complete single-supply, 8-channel, 14-bit DAC. The devices are available in either a 64-lead LFCSP or a 52-lead LQFP. All channels have an on-chip output amplifier with rail-to-rail operation. All devices include an internal 1.25/2.5 V, 10 ppm/°C reference, an on-chip channel monitor function that multiplexes the analog outputs to a common MON_OUT pin for external monitoring, and an output amplifier boost mode that optimizes the output amplifier slew rate. The AD5390 / AD5391 / AD5392 contain a 3-wire serial interface with interface speeds in excess of 30 MHz that are compatible with SPI®, QSPI™, MICROWIRE™, and DSP interface standards and an I2C-compatible interface supporting a 400 kHz data transfer rate.An input register followed by a DAC register provides double-buffering, allowing DAC outputs to be updated independently or simultaneously using the LDAC input. Each channel has a programmable gain and offset adjust register, letting the user fully calibrate any DAC channel.Power consumption is typically 0.25 mA per channel.APPLICATIONS Instrumentation and industrial control Power amplifier control Level setting (ATE) Control systems Microelectromechanical systems (MEMS) Variable optical attenuators (VOAs) Optical transceivers (MSA 300, XFP)
