The LTC4302-1/LTC4302-2 addressable I2C bus and SMBus compatible bus buffers allow a peripheral board to be inserted and removed from a live backplane without corruption of the bus. The LTC4302-1/LTC4302-2 maintain electrical isolation between the backplane and peripheral board until their VCC supply is valid and a master device on the backplane side addresses the LTC4302-1/LTC4302-2 and commands them to connect. The LTC4302-1/LTC4302-2’s ADDRESS pin provides 32 possible addresses set by an external resistive divider between VCC and GND. The LTC4302-1/LTC4302-2 work with supply voltages ranging from 2.7V to 5.5V. The SDA and SCL inputs and outputs do not load the bus lines when VCC is low.Rise time accelerator circuitry allows for heavier capacitive bus loading while still meeting system timing requirements. During insertion, the SDA and SCL lines are precharged to 1V to minimize bus disturbances. Two general purpose input/output pins (GPIOs) on the LTC4302-1 can be configured as inputs, open-drain outputs or push-pull outputs. The LTC4302-2 option replaces one GPIO pin with a second supply voltage pin VCC2, providing level shifting between systems with different supply voltages. The ADD5207 is a white LED driver for backlight applications based on high efficiency, current mode, step-up converter technology. It is designed with a 0.15 Ω, 1.5 A internal switch and a pin-adjustable operating frequency between 600 kHz and 1 MHz.The ADD5207 contains four regulated current sources for uniform LED brightness. Each current source can drive up to 25 mA and the LED-driving current is pin adjustable by an external resistor. The ADD5207 drives up to four parallel strings of multiple series-connected LEDs with a ±1.5% current matching between strings.The ADD5207 provides phase shift PWM brightness control methods. LED dimming control is achieved through the PWM input. The device includes an 8 kHz LED-dimming oscillator for driving each current source. The ADD5207 operates over an input voltage range of 6 V to 21 V, but the device can function with a voltage as low as 5.6 V.The ADD5207 also has multiple safety protection features to prevent damage during fault conditions. If any LED is open, the device automatically disables the faulty current source. The internal soft start circuit prevents a high inrush current during startup. The ADM4168E is a dual RS-422 transceiver suitable for high speed communication on point to point and multidrop transmission lines. The ADM4168E is designed for balanced transmission lines and complies with TIA/EIA-422-B. The differential driver outputs and receiver inputs feature electrostatic discharge (ESD) circuitry that provides protection up to ±15 kV human body model (HBM) and ±8 kV IEC 61000-4-2 (contact and air discharge). The ADM4168E operates from a single 5 V power supply. Excessive power dissipation caused by bus contention or output shorting is prevented by short-circuit protection circuitry. Short-circuit protection circuits limit the maximum output current to −150 mA during fault conditions. The receivers of the ADM4168E contain a fail-safe feature that results in a logic high output state if the inputs are unconnected (floating).
