The AD1939 is a high performance, single-chip codec that provides four analog-to-digital converters (ADCs) with differential input, and eight digital-to-analog converters (DACs) with differential output using the Analog Devices, Inc. patented multibit sigma-delta (Σ-Δ) architecture. An SPI port is included, allowing a microcontroller to adjust volume and many other parameters. The AD1939 operates from 3.3 V digital and analog supplies. The AD1939 is available in a 64-lead (differential output) LQFP package.The AD1939 is designed for low EMI. This consideration is apparent in both the system and circuit design architectures. The ADN4668 is a quad-channel CMOS, low voltage differential signaling (LVDS) line receiver offering data rates of over 400 Mbps (200 MHz) and ultralow power consumption. It features a flow-through pin configuration for easy PCB layout and separation of input and output signals. The device accepts low voltage (310 mV typical) differential input signals and converts them to a single-ended, 3 V TTL/CMOS logic level.The ADN4668 also offers active-high and active-low enable/disable inputs (EN and overbar: EN) that control all four receivers. They disable the receivers and switch the outputs to a high impedance state. This high impedance state allows the outputs of one or more ADN4668s to be multiplexed together and reduces the quies-cent power consumption to 3 mW typical. The AD7306 line driver/receiver is a 5 V monolithic product which provides an interface between TTL signal levels and dual standard EIA RS-232/RS-422 signal levels. The part contains two RS-232 drivers, one RS-422 driver, one RS-232 receiver, and one receiver path which can be configured either as RS-232 or as RS-422.An internal charge pump voltage converter facilitates operation from a single +5 V power supply. The internal charge pump generates ±10 V levels allowing RS-232 output levels to be developed without the need for external bipolar power supplies.A highly efficient charge pump design allows operation using non polarized, miniature 0.1 mF capacitors. This gives a considerable saving in printed circuit board space over conventional products which can use up to 10 mF capacitors. The charge pump output voltages may also be used to power external circuitry which requires dual supplies.The RS-232 channels are suitable for communications rates up to 100 kHz and the RS-422 channels are suitable for high speed communications up to 5 MHz.
