DC1242A: Demo Board for the LTC3537 - 2.2 MHz, 600mA Synchronous Step-Up DC/DC Converter and 100mA LDO

Demonstration circuit 1247A features the LT3582 an I2C Programmable Boost and Single Inductor Inverting DC/DC Converters with OTP. It converts a 2.7V-5.5V source to two outputs, a positive and a negative. The positive output can be programmed from 3.2V to 12.775V at 25mV intervals and the negative from -1.2V to -13.95V at 50mV intervals, all via the QuickEval™ System. A DC590B is needed for evaluation of this demo board. Table 1 below shows the maximum expected load currents for some output/input combinations. Check Maximum Load Current section on datasheet for other combinations. The LT3582 features all integrated switches and feedback resistors, a low noise control scheme, positive output disconnect function, low quiescent current, built in softstart.

Demonstration circuit 392 is a dual output, step-down, synchronous buck converter featuring either the 150kHz to 300kHz LTC1628EUH controller (DC392A-A), the 250kHz to 550kHz LTC3728EUH (DC392A-B) or 250kHz to 550kHz LTC3728LUH (DC392A-C). It operates with an input voltage range of 7V to 24V and provides 3.3V @ 5A and 5V @ 4A at its output.

Demonstration circuit 397 is a multipurpose DC/DC switching regulator using the LT1930A and LT1931A voltage regulators in a SOT-23 package. The demo board offers three separate DC/DC converters for different applications needs. The boost circuit is designed to convert a 5V input to 12V output at 250mA maximum load. The SEPIC circuit generates a constant 12V/250mA (max load) output with a 10V~16V variable input. The inverter circuit is de-signed for applications requiring negative 12V/250mA (max load) from a positive 12V input. All three circuits are designed to demonstrate fast switching frequency (2.2MHz), an internal 36V/1A switch, wide input range, and small circuit size.

The LTC3404 is a high efficiency monolithic synchronous buck regulator using a constant frequency, current mode architecture. Supply current during operation is only 10?A and drops to < 1?A in shutdown. The 2.65V to 6V input voltage range makes the LTC3404 ideally suited for single Li-Ion battery-powered applications. 100% duty cycle provides low dropout operation, extending battery life in portable systems.Switching frequency is internally set at 1.4MHz, allowing the use of small surface mount inductors and capacitors. For noise sensitive applications the LTC3404 can be externally synchronized from 1MHz to 1.7MHz. Burst Mode operation is inhibited during synchronization or when the SYNC/MODE pin is pulled low, preventing low frequency ripple from interfering with audio circuitry. The internal synchronous switch increases efficiency and eliminates the need for an external Schottky diode. Low output voltages are easily supported with the 0.8V feedback reference voltage.
