The LTC4123 is a low power wireless receiver and a constant-current/constant-voltage linear charger for NiMH batteries. An external programming resistor sets the charge current up to 25mA. The temperature compensated charge voltage feature protects the NiMH battery and prevents overcharging.Wireless charging with the LTC4123 allows products to be charged while sealed within enclosures and eliminates bulky connectors in space constrained environments. The LTC4123 also makes it possible to charge NiMH batteries used in moving or rotating equipment.The LTC4123 prevents charging of Zinc-Air batteries as well as batteries inserted with reverse polarity. The LTC4123 pauses charging if its temperature is too hot or too cold. The LTC4235 offers ideal diode-OR and Hot Swap™ functions for two 12V power rails by controlling external N-channel MOSFETs. MOSFETs acting as ideal diodes replace two high power Schottky diodes and the associated heat sinks, saving power and board area. A Hot Swap control MOSFET allows a board to be safely inserted and removed from a live backplane by limiting inrush current. The supply output is also protected against short-circuit faults with a foldback current limit and circuit breaker.The LTC4235 regulates the forward voltage drop across the MOSFETs to ensure smooth current transfer from one supply to the other without oscillation. The ideal diodes turn on quickly to reduce the load voltage droop during supply switchover. If the input supply fails or is shorted, a fast turn-off minimizes reverse-current transients.A current sense amplifier translates the voltage across the sense resistor to a ground referenced signal. This high input voltage LDO is ideal for regulation of high performance analog and mixed signal circuits operating from 19 V to 1.22 V rails. Using an advanced proprietary architecture, it provides high power supply rejection, low noise, and achieves excellent line and load transient response with just a small 1 μF ceramic output capacitor. The ADP7102 is available in seven fixed output voltage options and an adjustable version, which allows output voltages that range from 1.22 V to VIN − VDO via an external feedback divider. The ADP7102 output noise voltage is 15 μV rms and is independent of the output voltage. A digital power good output allows power system monitors to check the health of the output voltage. A user programmable precision undervoltage lockout function facilitates sequencing of multiple power supplies. The ADP7102 is available in 8-lead, 3 mm × 3 mm LFCSP and 8-lead SOIC packages. The LFCSP offers a very compact solution and also provides excellent thermal performance for applications requiring up to 300 mA of output current in a small, low-profile footprint.
