The LTC1625 is a synchronous step-down switching regulator controller that drives external N-Channel power MOSFETs using few external components. Current mode control with MOSFET VDS sensing eliminates the need for a sense resistor and improves efficiency. The frequency of a nominal 150kHz internal oscillator can be synchronized to an external clock over a 1.5:1 frequency range.Burst Mode? operation at low load currents reduces switching losses and low dropout operation extends operating time in battery-powered systems. A forced continuous mode control pin can assist secondary winding regulation by disabling Burst Mode operation when the main output is lightly loaded.Fault protection is provided by foldback current limiting and an output overvoltage comparator. An external capacitor attached to the RUN/SS pin provides soft start capability for supply sequencing. A wide supply range allows operation from 3.7V (3.9V for LTC1625I) to 36V at the input and 1.19V to VIN at the output.Applications Notebook and Palmtop Computers, PDAs Cellular Telephones and Wireless Modems Battery Chargers Distributed Power

LTC4418 Dual Channel Prioritized PowerPath Controller
Analog Devices Inc.
Demonstration circuit 2707B uses the LTC®4418 to arbitrate between two input supply rails, selecting the highest priority, valid supply to power the load. The V1 rail is defined to have higher priority and the V2 rail has lower priority. Both rails have individual overvoltage and undervoltage comparators for setting valid window thresholds with external resistive dividers. If the highest priority rail voltage V1 falls out of the defined window (overvoltage or undervoltage), the V2 rail, if it is valid, is enabled and powers
the load. Two or more LTC4418s can be cascaded to provide switchover between more than two rails.

LT8316 Demo Board | Isolated Flyback Converter: 100V to 600VIN, VOUT = 12V @ Up to 3A
Analog Devices Inc.
Demonstration circuit 2718A is a no-opto flyback converter featuring the LT8316. The demo board outputs 12V and maintains tight regulation with a load current from 30mA to 3A. It is optimized to operate over a wide 100V to 600V DC input voltage range. Output voltage accuracy stays within ±5% over the entire input voltage and load range.
The LT8316 is a high voltage flyback controller. No optoisolator is needed for regulation. The part samples the output voltage from the isolated flyback waveform appearing across a third winding on the transformer. Quasi-resonant boundary mode operation improves load regulation. The LT8316 is available in a thermally enhanced 20-pin TSSOP package with four pins removed for high-voltage spacing.
The LT8316 data sheet gives a complete description of the part, operation and application information. The data sheet must be read in conjunction with this quick start guide for demo circuit 2718A.

LTC6813-1 Demo Board | 18-Channel Battery-Stack Monitor with Daisy-Chain Interface
Analog Devices Inc.
Demonstration circuit 2350B features the LTC6813-1, 18-channel battery-stack monitor. Multiple boards can be linked through a 2-wire isolated serial interface (isoSPI™) to monitor a long series of cells in a stack. The DC2350B demo board also features reversible isoSPI enabling a redundant communication path. The PCB, components, and DuraClik connectors are optimized for low EMI susceptibility and emissions.
The DC2350B can communicate to a PC by connecting a DC2792B dual master isoSPI together with DC2026C Linduino® One. The DC2026 must be loaded with the appropriate program (called a sketch) to control the battery-stack monitor IC and receive data through a USB serial port. The DC2026 provides a standard SPI interface which can be translated to isoSPI and then connected to a DC2350B isoSPI port (J4 or J5 connector). The DC2792B companion board provides two SPI-isoSPI channels for reversible operation.

The LTC3726 is a secondary-side controller for synchronous forward converters. When used in conjunction with the LTC3705/LTC3725 gate driver and primary-side controllers, the part creates a complete isolated power supply that combines the simplicity of OPTI-LOOP? compensation with the speed of secondary-side control. The LTC3726 has been designed to simplify the design of highly efficient, secondary-side forward converters. Working in concert with the LTC3705 or LTC 3725, the LTC3726 forms a robust, self-starting converter that eliminates the need for the separate bias regulator that is commonly used in secondary-side control applications. In addition, a proprietary scheme is used to multiplex gate drive signals and DC bias power across the isolation barrier through a single, tiny pulse transformer. The LTC3726 is available in a 16-lead SSOP package.Applications Isolated 48V Telecommunication Systems Internet Servers and Routers Distributed Power Step-Down Converters Automotive and Heavy Equipment
