The LTC3880/LTC3880-1 are dual, PolyPhase DC/DC synchronous step-down switching regulator controllers with an I2C-based PMBus compliant serial interface. The controllers use a constant frequency, current mode architecture that is supported by LTpowerPlay™ software development tool with graphical user interface (GUI).Switching frequency, output voltage, and device address can be programmed using external configuration resistors. Parameters can be set via the digital interface or stored in EEPROM. Voltage, current, internal/external temperature and fault status can be read back through the bus interface. The LTC3880 incorporates a 5V linear regulator while the LTC3880-1 uses an external 5V supply for minimum power loss. See comparison to LTC3887 below. The ADM1066 Super Sequencer® is a configurable supervisory/ sequencing device that offers a single-chip solution for supply monitoring and sequencing in multiple-supply systems. In addition to these functions, the ADM1066 integrates a 12-bit ADC and six 8-bit voltage output DACs. These circuits can be used to implement a closed-loop margining system that enables supply adjustment by altering either the feedback node or reference of a dc-to-dc converter using the DAC outputs. Supply margining can be performed with a minimum of external components. The ADM6316 / ADM6318 / ADM6319 / ADM6320 / ADM6321 / ADM6322 are supervisory circuits that monitor power supply voltage levels and code execution integrity in microprocessor-based systems. As well as providing power-on reset signals, an on-chip watchdog timer can reset the microprocessor if it fails to strobe within a preset timeout period. A reset signal can also be asserted by an external push button through a manual reset input. The seven devices feature different combinations of watchdog input, manual reset input, and output stage configuration, as shown in Table 1 of the data sheet.Each device is available in a choice of 26 reset threshold options ranging from 2.5 V to 5 V in 100 mV increments. There are also four reset timeout options of 1 ms, 20 ms, 140 ms, and 1120 ms (minimum) and four watchdog timeout options of 6.3 ms, 102 ms, 1600 ms, and 25.6 sec (typical). Not all device options are released for sale as standard models. The ADP2108 is a high efficiency, low quiescent current step-down dc-to-dc converter manufactured in two different packages. The total solution requires only three tiny external components. It uses a proprietary, high speed current mode, constant frequency PWM control scheme for excellent stability and transient response. To ensure the longest battery life in portable applications, the ADP2108 has a power save mode that reduces the switching frequency under light load conditions.The ADP2108 runs on input voltages of 2.3 V to 5.5 V, which allows for single lithium or lithium polymer cell, multiple alkaline or NiMH cell, PCMCIA, USB, and other standard power sources. The maximum load current of 600 mA is achievable across the input voltage range.The ADP2108 is available in fixed output voltages of 3.3 V, 3.0 V, 2.5 V, 2.3 V, 1.82 V, 1.8 V, 1.5 V, 1.3 V, 1.2 V, 1.1 V, and 1.0 V. All versions include an internal power switch and synchronous rectifier for minimal external part count and high efficiency. The ADP2108 has an internal soft start and is internally compensated. During logic controlled shutdown, the input is disconnected from the output and the ADP2108 draws less than 1 μA from the input source.Other key features include undervoltage lockout to prevent deep battery discharge and soft start to prevent input current over-shoot at startup. The ADP2108 is available in 5-ball WLCSP and 5-lead TSOT packages. The ADR01, ADR02, ADR03, and ADR06 are precision 10.0 V, 5.0 V, 2.5 V, and 3.0 V, respectively, band gap voltage references featuring high accuracy, high stability, and low power consumption. The devices are housed in tiny, 5-lead SC70 and TSOT packages, as well as in 8-lead SOIC version. The SOIC version of the ADR01, ADR02, and ADR03 are drop-in replacements1 to the industry-standard REF01, REF02, and REF03. The small footprint and wide operating range make the ADR01, ADR02, ADR03, and ADR06 references ideally suited for general-purpose and space-constrained applications.With an external buffer and a simple resistor network, the TEMP pin can be used for temperature sensing and approximation. A TRIM pin is provided on the devices for fine adjustment of the output voltage.The ADR01, ADR02, ADR03, and ADR06 are compact, low drift voltage references that provide a stable output voltage from a wide supply voltage range. The devices are available in 5-lead SC70 and TSOT packages and an 8-lead SOIC package with A, B, and C grade selections. All devices are specified over the extended industrial (−40°C to +125°C) temperature range.
