Demonstration circuit 1294A exercises four adjustable linear regulators in parallel using the LT3080. A small 20 mΩ ballast resistor is required for parallel operation. A short PCB trace can easily serve that purpose. The paralleled devices provide up to 4.4A of output current at 3.3V.
Architected as a precision current source and voltage follower, the LT3080 can be used in many applications requiring high current, adjustability to zero output, and no heat sink. The device brings out the collector of the pass transistor to allow low dropout operation when used with multiple supplies. The LT3080's output voltage can be programmed to any level between 0V and 36V; however the demo board has a reduced input voltage range from 3.8V to 25V due to the input capacitor voltage rating.

Demonstration circuit 879 is a Micropower Synchronous Step-Up Converter with Output Disconnect featuring the LTC3525-3.3 and LTC3525-5. The LTC3525 is a high performance Burst Mode operation only, synchronous boost converter. The LTC3525 incorporates a feature that maximizes efficiency by adjusting the peak and valley of the inductor current as a function of load. The demo board has two assembly versions: DC879A-A and DC879A-B. The DC879A-A offers fixed 3.3V output. The DC879A-B offers fixed 5V output. They offer a compact, high efficiency solution in single cell or dual cell alkaline or Li-ion applications. Only three small external components are required.

The ADM6316 / ADM6318 / ADM6319 / ADM6320 / ADM6321 / ADM6322 are supervisory circuits that monitor power supply voltage levels and code execution integrity in microprocessor-based systems. As well as providing power-on reset signals, an on-chip watchdog timer can reset the microprocessor if it fails to strobe within a preset timeout period. A reset signal can also be asserted by an external push button through a manual reset input. The seven devices feature different combinations of watchdog input, manual reset input, and output stage configuration, as shown in Table 1 of the data sheet.Each device is available in a choice of 26 reset threshold options ranging from 2.5 V to 5 V in 100 mV increments. There are also four reset timeout options of 1 ms, 20 ms, 140 ms, and 1120 ms (minimum) and four watchdog timeout options of 6.3 ms, 102 ms, 1600 ms, and 25.6 sec (typical). Not all device options are released for sale as standard models. The ADP1051 is an advanced digital controller with a PMBus? interface targeting high density, high efficiency dc-to-dc power conversion. This controller implements voltage mode control with high speed, input line feedforward for enhanced transient and improved noise performance.
