The AD7192 is a low noise, complete analog front end for high precision measurement applications. It contains a low noise, 24-bit sigma-delta (Σ-Δ) analog-to-digital converter (ADC). The on-chip low noise gain stage means that signals of small amplitude can be interfaced directly to the ADC.The device can be configured to have two differential inputs or four pseudo differential inputs. The on-chip channel sequencer allows several channels to be enabled, and the AD7192 sequentially converts on each enabled channel. This simplifies communication with the part. The on-chip 4.92 MHz clock can be used as the clock source to the ADC or, alternatively, an external clock or crystal can be used. The output data rate from the part can be varied from 4.7 Hz to 4.8 kHz.The device has two digital filter options. The choice of filter affects the rms noise/noise-free resolution at the programmed output data rate, the settling time, and the 50 Hz/60 Hz rejection. The AD7294 contains all the functions required for general-purpose monitoring and control of current, voltage, and temperature integrated into a single-chip solution. The device includes low voltage (±200 mV) analog input sense amplifiers for current monitoring across shunt resistors, temperature sense inputs, and four uncommitted analog input channels multiplexed into a SAR analog-to-digital converter (ADC) with a 3 μs conversion time. The AD7400 is a second-order, sigma-delta (Σ-Δ) modulator that converts an analog input signal to a high speed, 1-bit data stream with on-chip digital isolation based on Analog Devices, Inc. iCoupler® technology. The AD7400 operates from a 5 V power supply and accepts a differential input signal of ±200 mV (±320 mV full scale). The analog input is continuously sampled by the analog modulator, eliminating the need for external sample-and-hold circuitry. The input information is contained in the output stream as a density of ones with a data rate of 10 MHz. The original information can be reconstructed with an appropriate digital filter. The serial I/O can use a 5 V or a 3 V supply (VDD2).The serial interface is digitally isolated. High speed CMOS, combined with monolithic air core transformer technology, means the on-chip isolation provides outstanding performance characteristics superior to alternatives such as optocoupler devices.
