The ADuM520x are dual channel digital isolators with isoPower, an integrated, isolated dc-to-dc converter. Based onthe Analog Devices, Inc., iCoupler® technology, the dc-to-dcconverter provides up to 500 mW of regulated, isolated powerwith 5.0 V input and 5.0 V output voltage, or 200 mW of power with 3.3 V input and 3.3 V output voltage. This eliminates the need for a separate isolated dc-to-dc converter in low power isolated designs. The Analog Devices chip scale transformer iCoupler technology is used for the isolation of the logic signals as well as for the dc-to-dc converter. The result is a small form factor, total isolation solution.ADuM520x units may be used in combination with ADuM5401, ADuM5402, ADuM5403, ADuM5404 and ADuM5000 with isoPower® to achieve higher output power levels and greater channel counts (see the Increasing Available Power section).The ADuM520x isolators provide two independent isolationchannels in a variety of channel configurations and data rates(see the Ordering Guide for options).isoPower uses high frequency switching elements to transfer power through its transformer. Special care must be taken during printed circuit board (PCB) layout to meet emissionsstandards. The ADE7754 is the electricity industry's first digitally calibrated, multi-function energy measurement IC programmable for all types of 3-phase grid configurations. This single chip solution measures active and apparent energy and provides a serial port interface and a pulse output. The ADE7754 transducer interface uses three fully differential current inputs and three single-ended voltage inputs. The six ADC’s digitize the signals so that all signal processing is done in the digital domain for superior stability and accuracy. The ADE7754 includes reference circuitry, temperature sensor, and all the signal processing required to perform active and apparent energy measurement as well as RMS calculation on all current and voltage channels. Additional power quality measurements are included.The ADE7754 surpasses the IEC61036/60687 accuracy requirements and provides an SPI interface for digital calibration and reading register data.The ADE7754 is available in 24-lead SOIC package.NOTE: If your application requires the measurement of reactive energy and information per phase, the ADE7758 is recommended.

The ADE7757 is an accurate electrical energy measurement integrated circuit. It is a pin reduction version of ADE7755 with an enhancement of a precise oscillator circuit that serves as a clock source to the chip. The ADE7757 eliminates the cost of an external crystal or resonator, thus reducing the overall cost of a meter built with this IC. The chip directly interfaces with shunt resistor.The ADE7757 provides instantaneous and average real power based on line current and voltage. The part specifications surpass the accuracy requirements as quoted in the IEC61036 standard. The only analog circuitry used in the ADE7757 is in the ADCs and reference circuit. All other signal processing (e.g., multiplication and filtering) is carried out in the digital domain. This approach provides superior stability and accuracy over extremes in environmental conditions and over time.The small analog input full-scale allows the chip to interface to low value shunt resistances without losing dynamic range. The ADE7757 is available in 16-lead SOIC narrow-body package.The Application Note AN-679 can be used as a basis for a description of an IEC61036 low cost, watt-hour meter reference design.NOTE: For polyphase system designs, the ADE7752A is recommended.

A complete PLL (Phase-Locked Loop) can be implemented if the synthesizer is used with an external loop filter and VCO (Voltage Controlled Oscillator) or VCXO (Voltage Controlled Crystal Oscillator). The N min value of 1 allows flexibility in clock generation.

The ADF4110 family of frequency synthesizers can be used to implement local oscillators in the up-conversion and down-conversion sections of wireless receivers and transmitters. They consist of low-noise digital PFD (Phase Frequency Detector), a precision charge pump, a programmable reference divider, programmable A and B counters and a dual modulus prescaler (P/P+1). The A (6-bit) and B (13-bit) counters, in conjunction with the dual modulus prescaler (P/P+1), implement an N divider (N = BP+A). In addition, the 14-bit reference counter (R Counter), allows selectable REFIN frequencies at the PFD input. A complete PLL (Phase-Locked Loop) can be implemented if the synthesizer is used with an external loop filter and VCO (Voltage Controlled Oscillator).Control of all the on-chip registers is via a simple 3-wire interface. The devices operate with a power supply ranging from 2.7 V to 5.5 V and can be powered down when not in use.
