The AD7747 is a high-resolution, Σ-Δ capacitance-to-digital converter (CDC). The capacitance to be measured is connected directly to the device inputs. The architecture features inherent high resolution (24-bit no missing codes, up to 19.5-bit effective resolution), high linearity (±0.01%), and high accuracy (±10 fF factory calibrated). The AD7747 capacitance input range is ±8 pF (changing), and it can accept up to 17 pF common-mode capacitance (not changing), which can be balanced by a programmable on-chip digital-to-capacitance converter (CAPDAC).The AD7747 is designed for single-ended or differential capacitive sensors with one plate connected to ground. For floating (not grounded) capacitive sensors, the AD7745 or AD7746 are recommended. The part has an on-chip temperature sensor with a resolution of 0.1°C and accuracy of ±2°C. The on-chip voltage reference and the on-chip clock generator eliminate the need for any external components in capacitive sensor applications. The part has a standard voltage input that, together with the differential reference input, allows easy interface to an external temperature sensor, such as an RTD, thermistor, or diode. The AD7747 has a 2-wire, I2C-compatible serial interface. The part can operate with a single power supply of 2.7 V to 5.25 V. It is specified over the automotive temperature range of −40°C to +125°C and is housed in a 16-lead TSSOP package.ApplicationsAutomotive, industrial, and medical systems for:Pressure measurementPosition sensingProximity sensingLevel sensingFlowmetersImpurity detections

AD8224ACPZ-WP

Analog Devices Inc.
The AD8224 is the first single-supply, JFET input instrumentation amplifier available in the space-saving 16-lead, 4 mm × 4 mm LFCSP. It requires the same board area as a typical single instrumentation amplifier yet doubles the channel density and offers a lower cost per channel without compromising performance.Designed to meet the needs of high performance, portable instrumentation, the AD8224 has a minimum common-mode rejection ratio (CMRR) of 86 dB at dc and a minimum CMRR of 80 dB at 10 kHz for G = 1. Maximum input bias current is 10 pA and typically remains below 300 pA over the entire industrial temperature range. Despite the JFET inputs, the AD8224 typically has a noise corner of only 10 Hz.With the proliferation of mixed-signal processing, the number of power supplies required in each system has grown.Designed to alleviate this problem, the AD8224 can operate on a ±18 V dual supply, as well as on a single +5 V supply. The device’s rail-to-rail output stage maximizes dynamic range on the low voltage supplies common in portable applications. Its ability to run on a single 5 V supply eliminates the need for higher voltage, dual supplies. The AD8224 draws 750 μA of quiescent current per amplifier, making it ideal for battery powered devices. In addition, the AD8224 can be configured as a single-channel, differential output, instrumentation amplifier. Differential outputs provide high noise immunity, which can be useful when the output signal must travel through a noisy environment, such as with remote sensors. The configuration can also be used to drive differential input ADCs.For a single-channel version, use the AD8220.Applications Medical instrumentation Precision data acquisition Transducer interfaces Differential drives for high resolution input ADCs Remote sensors

The AD8231 is a low drift, rail-to-rail, instrumentation amplifier with software-programmable gains of 1, 2, 4, 8, 16, 32, 64, or 128. The gains are programmed via digital logic or pin strapping. The AD8231 is ideal for applications that require precision performance over a wide temperature range, such as industrial temperature sensing and data logging. Because the gain setting resistors are internal, maximum gain drift is only 10 ppm/°C for gains of 1 to 32. Because of the auto-zero input stage, maximum input offset is 15 μV and maximum input offset drift is just 50 nV/°C. CMRR is 80 dB for G = 1, increasing to 110 dB at higher gains. The AD8231 also includes an uncommitted op amp that can be used for additional gain, differential signal driving, or filtering. Like the in-amp, the op amp has an auto-zero architecture, rail-to-rail input, and rail-to-rail output. The AD8231 includes a shutdown feature that reduces current to a maximum of 1 μA. In shutdown, both amplifiers also have a high output impedance, which allows easy multiplexing of multiple amplifiers without additional switches. The AD8231 is specified over the extended industrial tempera-ture range of −40°C to +125°C. The AD8236 is the lowest power instrumentation amplifier in the industry. It has rail-to-rail outputs and can operate on voltages as low as 1.8 V. Its 40 μA maximum supply current makes it an excellent choice in battery-powered applications. The AD8236’s high input impedance, low input bias current of 1 pA, high CMRR of 110 dB (G = 100), small size, and low power offer tremendous value. It has a wider common-mode voltage range than typical three-op-amp instrumentation amplifiers, making this a great solution for applications that operate on a single 1.8 V or 3 V supply. An innovative input stage allows for a wide rail-to-rail input voltage range without the crossover distortion common in other designs. The AD8236 is available in an 8-lead MSOP and is specified over the industrial temperature range of −40°C to +125°CApplicationsMedical instrumentationLow-side current sensePortable devices

The AD8295 contains all the components necessary for a precision instrumentation amplifier front end in one small 4 mm × 4 mm package. It contains a high performance instrumentation amplifier, two general-purpose operational amplifiers, and two precisely matched 10 kΩ resistors. The AD8295 has been designed to make PCB routing easy andefficient. The AD8295 components are arranged in a logicalway so that typical application circuits have short routes and fewvias. Unlike most chip scale packages, the AD8295 does nothave an exposed metal pad on the back of the part, which freesup additional space for routing and vias. The AD8295 comes in a 4 mm × 4 mm LFCSP that requires half the board space of an 8-pin SOIC package. The AD8295 includes a high performance, programmablegain instrumentation amplifier. Gain is set from 1 to 1000 witha single resistor. The low noise and excellent common-mode rejection of the AD8295 enable the part to easily detect small signals even in the presence of large common-mode interference. For a similar instrumentation amplifier without the associated signal conditioning circuitry, see the AD8221 or AD8222 data sheet. The AD8295 operates on both single and dual supplies and iswell suited for applications where ±10 V input voltages areencountered. Performance is specified over the entire industrialtemperature range of −40°C to +85°C for all grades. The AD8597/AD8599 are very low noise, low distortion operational amplifiers ideal for use as preamplifiers. The low noise of 1.1 nV/√Hz and low harmonic distortion of −120 dB (or better) at audio bandwidths give the AD8597/AD8599 the wide dynamic range necessary for preamplifiers in audio, medical, and instru-mentation applications. The excellent slew rate of 14 V/μs and 10 MHz gain bandwidth make them highly suitable for medical applications. The low distortion and fast settling time make them ideal for buffering of high resolution data converters. The AD8597 is available in 8-lead SOIC and LFCSP packages, while the AD8599 is available in an 8-lead SOIC package.
