EVAL-AD7176-2SDZ
Analog Devices Inc.
The AD7176-2 is a fast settling, highly accurate, high resolution, multiplexed ?-? analog-to-digital converter (ADC) for low bandwidthinput signals. Its inputs can be configured as two fullydifferential or four pseudo differential inputs via the integratedcrosspoint multiplexer. An integrated precision, 2.5 V, low drift(2 ppm/?C), band gap internal reference (with an outputreference buffer) adds functionality and reduces the externalcomponent count. The maximum channel scan data rate is 50 kSPS/channel(settling time of 20 ?s), resulting in fully settled data with17 noise free bits. User-selectable output data rates range from5 SPS to 250 kSPS. The resolution increases at lower speeds. The AD7176-2 offers three key digital filters. The fast settlingsinc5 + sinc1 filter maximizes the channel scan rate. The sinc3filter maximizes the resolution for single-channel, low speedapplications. For 50 Hz and 60 Hz environments, the AD7176-2specific filter minimizes the settling times or maximizes therejection of the line frequency. These enhanced filters enablesimultaneous 50 Hz and 60 Hz rejection with a 27 SPS outputdata rate (with a settling time of 36 ms).System offset and gain errors can be corrected on a per channelbasis. This per channel configurability extends to the output datarate used for each channel when using a sinc5 + sinc1 filter. Allswitching of the crosspoint multiplexer is controlled by the ADCand can be configured to automatically control an externalmultiplexer via the GPIO pins. The specified operating temperature range is ?40?C to +105?C.The AD7176-2 is housed in a 24-lead TSSOP package.Applications Process control: PLC/DCS modules - Temperature and pressure measurement Medical and scientific multichannel instrumentation Chromatography

The AD7265 uses advanced design techniques to achieve very low power dissipation at high throughput rates. With 5 V supplies and a 1 MSPS throughput rate, the part consumes 4 mA maximum. The part also offers flexible power/throughput rate management when operating in normal mode, because the quiescent current consumption is so low.The analog input range for the part can be selected to be a 0 V to VREF(or 2 ? VREF) range, with either straight binary or twos complement output coding. The AD7265 has an on-chip 2.5 V reference that can be overdriven when an external reference is preferred. This external reference range is 100 mV to VDD. The AD7265 is available in 32-lead LFCSP and 32-lead TQFP.Product Highlights Two Complete ADC Functions Allow Simultaneous Sampling and Conversion of Two Channels. Each ADC has three fully/pseudo differential pairs, or six single-ended channels, as programmed. The conversion result of both channels is simultaneously available on separate data lines, or in succession on one data line if only one serial port is available. High Throughput with Low Power Consumption. The AD7265 offers a 1 MSPS throughput rate with 9 mW maximum power dissipation when operating at 3 V. The AD7265 offers both a standard 0 V to VREF input range and a 2 ? V REF input range. No Pipeline Delay. The AD7380/AD7381 are a 16-bit and 14-bit pin-compatible family of dual simultaneous sampling, high speed, low power, successive approximation register (SAR) analog-to-digital converters (ADCs) that operate from a 3.0 V to 3.6 V power supply and feature throughput rates up to 4 MSPS. The analog input type is differential, accepts a wide common-mode input?voltage, and is sampled and converted on the falling edge of CS.An integrated on-chip oversampling block improves dynamic range and reduces noise at lower bandwidths. A buffered internal 2.5 V reference is included. Alternatively, an external?reference up to 3.3 V can be used. The conversion process and data acquisition use standard control?inputs allowing simple interfacing to microprocessors or digital signal processors (DSPs). The device is compatible with 1.8 V, 2.5 V, and 3.3 V interfaces using the separate logic supply. The AD7380/AD7381 are available in a 16-lead lead frame chip scale package (LFCSP) with operation specified from ?40?C to +125?C.Product highlights Dual simultaneous sampling and conversion with two complete ADC functions. Pin-compatible product family. High 4 MSPS throughput rate. Space saving 3 mm ? 3 mm LFCSP. An integrated oversampling block to increase dynamic range, reduce noise, and reduce SCLK speed requirements. Differential analog inputs with wide common-mode range. Small sampling capacitor reduces amplifier drive burden.Applications Motor control position feedback Motor control current sense Sonar Power quality Data acquisition systems Erbium doped fiber amplifier (EDFA) applications I and Q demodulation
