The LTC2356-12/LTC2356-14 are 12-bit/14-bit, 3.5Msps serial ADCs with differential inputs. The devices draw only 5.5mA from a single 3.3V supply and come in a tiny 10-lead MSOP package. A Sleep shutdown feature further reduces power consumption to 13?W. The combination of speed, low power and tiny package makes the LTC2356-12/LTC2356-14 suitable for high speed, portable applications. The 80dB common mode rejection allows users to eliminate ground loops and common mode noise by measuring signals differentially from the source. The devices convert ?1.25V to 1.25V bipolar inputs differentially. The absolute voltage swing for AIN+ and AIN? extends from ground to the supply voltage. The serial interface sends out the conversion results during the 16 clock cycles following a CONV rising edge for compatibility with standard serial interfaces. If two additional clock cycles for acquisition time are allowed after the data stream in between conversions, the full sampling rate of 3.5Msps can be achieved with a 63MHz clock. AD8319-EVALZ
Analog Devices Inc.
The AD8319 is a demodulating logarithmic amplifier, capable of accurately converting an RF input signal to a corresponding decibel-scaled output. It employs the progressive compression technique over a cascaded amplifier chain, each stage of which is equipped with a detector cell. The device can be used in either measurement or controller modes. The AD8319 maintains accurate log conformance for signals of 1 MHz to 8 GHz and provides useful operation to 10 GHz. The input dynamic range is typically 40 dB (re: 50 ?) with error less than ?1 dB. The AD8319 has 8 ns/10 ns response time (fall time/rise time) that enables RF burst detection to a pulse rate of beyond 50 MHz. The device provides unprecedented logarithmic intercept stability vs. ambient temperature conditions. A supply of 3.0 V to 5.5 V is required to power the device. Current consumption is typically 22 mA, and it decreases to 200 ?A when the device is disabled.?The AD8319 can be configured to provide a control voltage to a power amplifier or a measurement output from the VOUT pin. Because the output can be used for controller applications, special attention was paid to minimize wideband noise. In this mode, the setpoint control voltage is applied to the VSET pin.The feedback loop through an RF amplifier is closed via VOUT, the output of which regulates the amplifier?s output to a magnitude corresponding to VSET. The AD8319 provides 0 V to (VPOS ? 0.1 V) output capability at the VOUT pin, suitable for controller applications. As a measurement device, VOUT is externally connected to VSET to produce an output voltage, VOUT, that is a decreasing linear-in-dB function of the RF input signal amplitude. The logarithmic slope is ?22 mV/dB, determined by the VSET interface. The intercept is 15 dBm (re: 50 ?, CW input) using the INHI input. These parameters are very stable against supply and temperature variations. The AD8319 is fabricated on a SiGe bipolar IC process and is available in a 2 mm ? 3 mm, 8-lead LFCSP_VD for an operating temperature range of ?40?C to +85?C.ApplicationsRF transmitter PA setpoint controls and level monitoring Power monitoring in radiolink transmitters RSSI measurement in base stations, WLANs, WiMAX, and radars

Analog Devices Inc.
The LTC1474/LTC1475 series are high efficiency step-down converters with internal P-channel MOSFET power switches that draw only 10?A typical DC supply current at no load while maintaining output voltage. The LTC1474 uses logic-controlled shutdown while the LTC1475 features pushbutton on/off. The low supply current coupled with Burst Mode? operation enables the LTC1474/LTC1475 to maintain high efficiency over a wide range of loads. These features, along with their capability of 100% duty cycle for low dropout and wide input supply range, make the LTC1474/LTC1475 ideal for moderate current (up to 300mA) battery-powered applications. The peak switch current is user-programmable with an optional sense resistor (defaults to 325mA minimum if not used) providing a simple means for optimizing the design for lower current applications. The peak current control also provides short-circuit protection and excellent startup behavior. A low-battery detector that remains functional in shutdown is provided . The LTC1474/LTC1475 series availability in 8-lead MSOP and SO packages and need for few additional components provide for a minimum area solution.Applications Cellular Telephones and Wireless Modems 4mA to 20mA Current Loop Step-Down Converter Portable Instruments Battery-Operated Digital Devices Battery Chargers Inverting Converters Intrinsic Safety Applications
