ADM485ARMZ
Analog Devices Inc.
The ADM485 is a differential line transceiver suitable for high speed bidirectional data communication on multipoint bus transmission lines. It is designed for balanced data transmission and complies with both EIA Standards RS-485 and RS-422. The part contains a differential line driver and a differential line receiver. Both the driver and the receiver may be enabled independently. When disabled, the outputs are tristated. The ADM485 operates from a single +5 V power supply. Excessive power dissipation caused by bus contention or by output shorting is prevented by a thermal shutdown circuit. This feature forces the driver output into a high impedance state if during fault conditions a significant temperature increase is detected in the internal driver circuitry.Up to 32 transceivers may be connected simultaneously on a bus, but only one driver should be enabled at any time. It is important, therefore, that the remaining disabled drivers do not load the bus. To ensure this, the ADM485 driver features high output impedance when disabled and also when powered down. This minimizes the loading effect when the transceiver is not being utilized. The high impedance driver output is maintained over the entire common-mode voltage range form -7V to +12 V.The receiver contains a fail safe feature which results in a logic high output state if the inputs are unconnected (floating). The ADM485 is fabricated on BiCMOS, an advanced mixed technology process combining low power CMOS with fast switching bipolar technology. All inputs and outputs contain protection against EDS; all diver outputs feature high source and sink current capability. An epitaxial layer is used to guard against latch-up.The ADM485 features extremely fast switching speeds. Minimal driver propagation delays permit transmission at data rates up to 5 Mbits/s while low skew minimizes EMI interference. The part is fully specified over the commercial and industrial temperature range and is available in an 8-pin DIL/SOIC packages.

AD8276ARMZ-RL
Analog Devices Inc.
The AD8276/AD8277 are general-purpose, unity-gain difference amplifiers intended for precision signal conditioning in power critical applications that require both high performance and low power. They provide exceptional 86 dB common-mode rejection ratio (CMRR) and high bandwidth while amplifying signals well beyond the supply rails. The on-chip resistors are laser trimmed for gain drift of 1 ppm/°C and high CMRR. The AD8276/AD8277 also have extremely low gain drift vs. temperature. The common-mode range of the amplifiers extends to almost double the supply voltage, making these amplifiers ideal for single-supply applications that require a high common-mode voltage range. The internal resistors and electrostatic discharge (ESD) circuitry at the inputs also provide overvoltage protection to the op amps. The AD8276/AD8277 are unity-gain stable. Although they are optimized for use as difference amplifiers, they can also be connected in high precision, single-ended configurations with G = −1, +1, or +2. The AD8276/AD8277 provide an integrated precision solution that has smaller size, lower cost, and improved performance than a discrete alternative. The AD8276/AD8277 operate on single supplies (2.0 V to 36 V) or dual supplies (±2 V to ±18 V). The maximum quiescent supply current is 200 μA per channel, which is ideal for battery-operated and portable systems. The AD8276 is available in the space-saving 8-lead mini small outline package (MSOP) and the standard small outline (SOIC) package, as well as in die form, and the AD8277 is offered in a 14-lead SOIC package. Both are specified for performance over the industrial temperature range of −40°C to +85°C and are fully RoHS compliant.Applications Voltage measurement and monitoring Current measurement and monitoring Differential output instrumentation amplifier Portable, battery-powered equipment Test and measurement

AD8475ARMZ
Analog Devices Inc.
The AD8475 is a fully differential, attenuating amplifier with integrated precision gain resistors. It provides precision attenuation (by 0.4 or 0.8), common-mode level shifting, and single-ended-to-differential conversion along with input overvoltage protection. Power dissipation on a single 5 V supply is only 16 mW.The AD8475 is a simple to use, fully integrated precision gain block, designed to process signal levels of up to ±10 V on a single supply. It provides a complete interface to make industrial level signals directly compatible with the differential input ranges of low voltage high performance 16-bit or 18-bit single-supply successive approximation (SAR) analog-to-digital converters (ADCs).The AD8475 comes with two standard pin-selectable gain options: 0.4 and 0.8. The gain of the part is set by driving the input pin corresponding to the appropriate gain. The AD8475 also provides overvoltage protection from large industrial input voltages up to ±15 V while operating on a single 5 V supply. The VOCM pin adjusts the output voltage common mode for precision level shifting, to match the ADC’s input range and maximize dynamic range. The AD8475 works extremely well with SAR, Σ-Δ, and pipeline converters. The high current output stage of the part allows it to drive the switched capacitor front-end circuits of many ADCs with minimal error.Unlike many differential drivers in the market, the AD8475 is a high precision amplifier. With 500 μV maximum output offset, 10 nV/√Hz output noise, and −112 dB THD + N, the AD8475 pairs well with high accuracy converters. Considering its low power consumption and high precision, the slew-enhanced AD8475 has excellent speed, settling to 18-bit precision for 4 MSPS acquisition. The AD8475 is available in a space-saving 16-lead 3 mm × 3 mm LFCSP package and a 10-lead MSOP package. It is fully specified over the −40°C to +85°C temperature range.Applications ADC drivers Differential instrumentation amplifier building blocks Single-ended-to-differential converters

Analog Devices Inc.
The ADP1872 / ADP1873 are versatile current-mode, synchronous step-down controllers that provide superior transient response, optimal stability, and current limit protection by using a constant on-time, pseudo-fixed frequency with a programmable current-sense gain, current-control scheme. In addition, these devices offer optimum performance at low duty cycles by utilizing valley current-mode control architecture. This allows the ADP1872 /ADP1873 to drive all N-channel power stages to regulate output voltages as low as 0.6 V.The ADP1873 is the power-saving mode (PSM) version of the device and is capable of pulse skipping to maintain output regulation while achieving improved system efficiency at light loads.Available in three frequency options (300 kHz, 600 kHz, and 1.0 MHz), the ADP1872 / ADP1873 are well suited for a wide range of applications. These ICs not only operate from a 2.75 V to 5.5 V bias supply, but also can accept a power input as high as 20 V.In addition, an internally fixed soft start period is included to limit input in-rush current from the input supply during startup and to provide reverse current protection during soft start for a pre-charged output. The low-side current-sense, current-gain scheme, along with the PSM/forced pulse-width modulation (PWM) option, reduces the external part count and improves efficiency. The ADP1872 / ADP1873 operate over the –40°C to +125°C junction temperature range and are available in a 10-lead MSOP.APPLICATIONS Telecom and networking systems Mid to High End servers Set-top boxes DSP core power supplies
