Analog Devices Inc.
The AD7476/AD7477/AD7478 are, respectively, 12-bit, 10-bit, and 8-bit, high speed, low power, successive approximation ADCs. The parts operate from a single 2.35 V to 5.25 V power supply and feature throughput rates up to 1 MSPS. Each part contains a low noise, wide bandwidth track-and-hold amplifier that can handle input frequencies in excess of 6 MHz.The conversion process and data acquisition are controlled using CS the serial clock, allowing the devices to interface with microprocessors or DSPs. The input signal is sampled on the falling edge of CS and the conversion is initiated at this point. There are no pipeline delays associated with these parts. The AD7476/AD7477/AD7478 use advanced design techniques to achieve very low power dissipation at high throughput rates. The reference for the parts is taken internally from VDD. This allows the widest dynamic input range to the ADC. Thus, the analog input range for the parts are 0 V to VDD. The conversion rate is determined by the SCLK.

AD7887ARZ-REEL7
Analog Devices Inc.
The AD7887 is a high speed, low power, 12-bit analog-to-digital converter (ADC) that operates from a single 2.7 V to 5.25 V power supply. The AD7887 is capable of 125 kSPS throughput rate. The input track-and-hold acquires a signal in 500 ns and features a single-ended sampling scheme. The output coding for the AD7887 is straight binary, and the part is capable of converting full power signals of up to 2.5 MHz.The AD7887 can be configured for either dual- or single-channel operation via the on-chip control register. There is a default single-channel mode that allows the AD7887 to be operated as a read-only ADC. In single-channel operation, there is one analog input (AIN0) and the AIN1/VREF pin assumes its VREF function. This VREF pin allows the user access to the part’s internal 2.5 V reference, or the VREF pin can be overdriven by an external reference to provide the reference voltage for the part. This external reference voltage has a range of 2.5 V to VDD. The analog input range on AIN0 is 0 to VREF.In dual-channel operation, the AIN1/VREF pin assumes its AIN1 function, providing a second analog input channel. In this case, the reference voltage for the part is provided via the VDD pin. As a result, the input voltage range on both the AIN0 and AIN1 inputs is 0 to VDD.CMOS construction ensures low power dissipation of typically 2 mW for normal operation and 3 μW in power-down mode. The DAC8420 is a quad, 12-bit voltage-output DAC with serial digital interface in a 16-lead package. Utilizing BiCMOS technology, this monolithic device features unusually high circuit density and lowpower consumption. The simple, easy-to-use serial digital input and fully buffered analog voltage outputs require no external components to achieve a specified performance. The 3-wire serial digital input is easily interfaced to micro-processors running at 10 MHz with minimal additional circuitry. Each DAC is addressed individually by a 16-bit serial word consisting of a 12-bit data word and an address header. The user-programmable reset control CLR forces all four DAC outputs to either zero scale or midscale, asynchronously overriding the current DAC register values. The output voltage range, determined by the inputs VREFHI and VREFLO, is set by the user for positive or negative unipolar or bipolar signal swings within the supplies, allowing considerable design flexibility. The DAC8420 is available in 16-lead PDIP, SOIC, and CERDIP packages. Operation is specified with supplies ranging from +5 V only to ±15 V, with references of +2.5 V to ±10 V, respectively. Power dissipation when operating from ±15 V supplies is less than 255 mW (maximum) and only 35 mW (maximum) with a +5 V supply.Applications Software controlled calibration Servo controls Process control and automation ATE

The LTC2486 is a 4-channel (2-channel differential), 16-bit, No Latency ΔΣ™ ADC with Easy Drive™ technology. The patented sampling scheme eliminates dynamic input current errors and the shortcomings of on-chip buffering through automatic cancellation of differential input current. This allows large external source impedances and rail-to-rail input signals to be directly digitized while maintaining exceptional DC accuracy. The LTC2486 includes programmable gain, a high accuracy temperature sensor, and an integrated oscillator. This device can be configured to measure an external signal (from combinations of 4 analog input channels operating in single ended or differential modes) or its internal temperature sensor. It can be programmed to reject line frequencies of 50Hz, 60Hz, or simultaneous 50Hz/60Hz, provide a programmable gain from 1 to 256 in 8 steps, and configured to double its output rate. The integrated temperature sensor offers 1/2°C resolution and 2°C absolute accuracy. The LTC2486 allows a wide common mode input range (0V to VCC), independent of the reference voltage. Any combination of single-ended or differential inputs can be selected and the first conversion after a new channel selection is valid.Applications Direct Sensor Digitizer Direct Temperature Measurement Instrumentation Industrial Process Control
