The LTC2489 is a 4-channel (2-channel differential), 16-bit, No Latency ΔΣ™ ADC with Easy Drive technology and a 2-wire, I2C interface. The patented sampling scheme eliminates dynamic input current errors and the shortcomings of on-chip buffering through automatic cancellation of differential input current. This allows large external source impedances and rail-to-rail input signals to be directly digitized while maintaining exceptional DC accuracy. The LTC2489 includes an integrated oscillator. This device can be configured to measure an external signal from combinations of 4 analog input channels operating in single ended or differential modes. It automatically rejects line frequencies of 50Hz and 60Hz simultaneously. The LTC2489 allows a wide, common mode input range (0V to VCC), independent of the reference voltage. Any combination of single-ended or differential inputs can be selected and the first conversion, after a new channel is selected, is valid. The AD7874 is a four-channel simultaneous sampling, 12-bit data acquisition system. The part contains a high speed 12-bit ADC, on chip reference, on-chip clock and four track/hold amplifiers. This latter feature allows the four input channels to be sampled simultaneously, thus preserving the relative phase information of the four input channels, which is not possible if all four channels share a single track/hold amplifier. This makes the AD7874 ideal for applications such as phased-array sonar and ac motor controllers where the relative phase information is important.The aperture delay of the four track/hold amplifiers is small and specified with minimum and maximum limits. This allows several AD7874s to sample multiple input channels simultaneously without incurring phase errors between signals connected to several devices. A reference output/reference input facility also allows several AD7874s to be driven from the same reference source.In addition to the traditional dc accuracy specifications such as linearity, full-scale and offset errors, the AD7874 is also fully specified for dynamic performance parameters including distortion and signal-to-noise ratio.The AD7874 is fabricated in Analog Devices' Linear Compatible CMOWS (LC2MOS) process, a mixed technology process that combines precision bipolar circuits with low-power CMOS logic. The part is available in a 28-pin, 0.6' wide, plastic or hermetic dual-in-line package (DIP), in a 28-terminal leadless ceramic chip carrier (LCCC) and in a 28-pin SOIC.PRODUCT HIGHLIGHTS Simultaneous Sampling of Four Input Channels. Four input channels, each with its own track/hold amplifier, allow simultaneous sampling of input signals. Track/hold acquisition time is 2 µs, and the conversion time per channel is 8 µs, allowing 29 kHz sample rate for all four channels. Tight Aperture Delay Matching. The aperture delay for each channel is small and the aperture delay matching between the four channels is less than 4 ns. Additionally, the aperture delay specification has upper and lower limits allowing multiple AD7874s to sample more than four channels. Fast Microprocessor Interface. The AD5330/AD5331/AD5340/AD5341* are single 8-/10-/12-bit DACs. They operate from a 2.5 V to 5.5 V supply consuming just 115 μA at 3 V and feature a power-down mode that further reduces the current to 80 nA. The devices incorporate an on-chip output buffer that can drive the output to both supply rails, but the AD5330, AD5340, and AD5341 allow a choice of buffered or unbuffered reference input. The AD5330/AD5331/AD5340/AD5341 have a parallel interface. CS selects the device and data is loaded into the input registers on the rising edge of WR. The GAIN pin allows the output range to be set at 0 V to VREF or 0 V to 2 × VREF. Input data to the DACs is double-buffered, allowing simultaneous update of multiple DACs in a system using the LDAC pin. An asynchronous CLR input is also provided, which resets the contents of the input register and the DAC register to all zeros. These devices also incorporate a power-on reset circuit that ensures that the DAC output powers on to 0 V and remains there until valid data is written to the device. The LTC2704-16/LTC2704-14/LTC2704-12 are serial input, 12-, 14- or 16-bit, voltage output SoftSpan™ DACs that operate from 3V to 5V logic and ±5V to ±15V analog supplies. SoftSpan offers six output spans—two unipolar and four bipolar—fully programmable through the 3-wire SPI serial interface. INL is accurate to 1LSB (2LSB for the LTC2704-16). DNL is accurate to 1LSB for all versions. Readback commands allow verification of any on-chip register in just one 24- or 32- bit instruction cycle. All other commands produce a “rolling readback” response from the LTC2704, dramatically reducing the needed number of instruction cycles. A Sleep command allows any combination of DACs to be powered down.
