The AD9239 is a quad, 12-bit, 250 MSPS analog-to-digital converter (ADC) with an on-chip temperature sensor and a high speed serial interface. It is designed to support digitizing high frequency, wide dynamic range signals with an input bandwidth up to 780 MHz. The output data are serialized and presented in packet format, consisting of channel-specific information, coded samples, and error correction code.The ADC requires a single 1.8 V power supply and the input clock may be driven differentially with a sine wave, LVPECL, TTL, or LVDS. A clock duty cycle stabilizer allows high performance at full speed with a wide range of clock duty cycles. The on-chip reference eliminates the need for external decoupling and can be adjusted by means of SPI control.Various power-down and standby modes are supported. The ADC typically consumes 145 mW per channel with the digital link still in operation when standby operation is enabled. Fabricated on an advanced CMOS process, the AD9239 is avail-able in a Pb-free/RoHS-compliant, 72-lead LFCSP package. It features a high performance sample-and hold circuit and on-chip voltage reference.The product uses multistage differential pipeline architecture with output error correction logic to provide 14-bit accuracy at80 MSPS data rates and to guarantee no missing codes over the full operating temperature range.The ADC contains several features designed to maximize flexibility and minimize system cost, such as programmable clock and data alignment and programmable digital test pattern generation. The available digital test patterns include built-in deterministic and pseudorandom patterns, along with custom user-defined test patterns entered via the serial port interface (SPI).A differential clock input controls all internal conversion cycles. This allows the users great flexibility in defining the converter that best suits their system requirements. The converter allows users to select the resolution to be 10, 12, 14, or 16 bits and to track resolver signals rotating at up to 1040 revs per second (62,400 rpm) when set to 10-bit resolution.The AD2S80A converts resolver format input signals into a parallel natural binary digital word using a ratiometric tracking conversion method. The AD5310 is a single, 10-bit, buffered voltage output DAC that operates from a single 2.7 V to 5.5 V supply, consuming 115 μA at 3 V. Its on-chip precision output amplifier allows rail-to-rail output swing. The AD5310 utilizes a versatile 3-wire serial interface that operates at clock rates of up to 30 MHz and is compatible with standard SPI™, QSPI™, MICROWIRE®, and DSP interface standards.The reference for AD5310 is derived from the power supply inputs and, therefore, provides the widest dynamic output range. The part incorporates a power-on reset circuit that ensures that the DAC output powers up to 0 V and remains there until a valid write takes place to the device. The part contains a power-down feature, which reduces the current consumption of the device to 200 nA at 5 V and provides software-selectable output loads while in power-down mode. The part is put into power-down mode over the serial interface.The low power consumption of this part in normal operation makes it ideally suited for portable, battery-operated equipment. The power consumption is 0.7 mW at 5 V, reducing to 1 μW in power-down mode.The AD5310 is one of a family of pin-compatible DACs. The AD5300 is the 8-bit version, and the AD5320 is the 12-bit version.
