The LTC3202 is a low noise, constant frequency charge pump DC/DC converter that uses fractional conversion to increase efficiency in white LED applications. The part can be used to produce a regulated voltage or current of up to 125mA from a 2.7V to 4.5V input. Low external parts count (two flying capacitors and two small bypass capacitors at VIN and VOUT) make the LTC3202 ideally suited for small, battery-powered applications.An internal 2-bit DAC allows LED current to be adjusted for LED brightness control. The LTC3202 also has thermal shutdown protection and can survive a continuous short-circuit from VOUT to GND. Built-in soft-start circuitry prevents excessive inrush current during start-up. High switching frequency enables the use of small external capacitors. The LT3966 is an I2C programmable monolithic boost LED driver with four independent channels. Each channel provides a 60V current mode boost converter with an internal 1.6A DMOS power switch, as well as internal and external analog and PWM dimming features. The ADD5211 is a four-string, white LED driver for backlight applications based on high efficiency, current mode, step-up converter technology. The boost controller drives an external MOSFET switch for step-up regulation from an input voltage of 4.5 V to 40 V and a pin adjustable operating frequency from 200 kHz to 1.2 MHz. An adjustable UVLO function is implemented to reduce input current during power-off.The ADD5211 provides four regulated current sinks for uniform brightness intensity. Each current sink can be driven from 40 mA to 200 mA; the LED driving current is pin adjustable using an external resistor. The LT3003 drives three separate strings of LEDs up to 350mA/channel with 3% accurate current matching, resulting in uniform LED brightness and intensity. This approach is superior to conventional methods of running three separate channels with external ballast resistors requiring expensive factory calibration.The LT3003 operates in boost, buck and buck-boost mode. A True Color PWM Dimming ratio of up to 3000:1 is achievable using a logic-level signal at the PWM pin for all modes without the need for external level-shifting circuitry.
