The LTC4245 Hot Swap? controller allows a board to be safely inserted and removed from a live backplane in multiple supply systems such as CompactPCI and PCI Express. Using four external N-channel pass transistors, the board supply voltages can be ramped up at an adjustable rate and in any desired sequence. An I2C interface and on-board ADC allow monitoring of board current, voltage and fault status for each supply.The device features adjustable dI/dt controlled soft start and foldback limited inrush current. A dual-level timed circuit breaker and fast current limit protect each supply against overcurrent faults. A power good input with timeout allows a downstream supply monitor to disconnect the board supplies. The LT3585 series are highly integrated ICs designed to charge photo?ash capacitors in digital and ?lm cameras. A new control technique allows for the use of extremely small transformers. Each part contains an on-chip high voltage NPN power switch. Output voltage detection is completely contained within the part, eliminating the need for any discrete zener diodes or resistors. The output voltage can be adjusted by simply changing the turns ratio of the transformer.The CHRG/IADJ pin gives full control of the part to the user. Driving CHRG/IADJ low puts the part in low power shutdown. The CHRG/IADJ pin can also be used to reduce the input current of the charger, useful in extending battery life. The EV-ADE9153ASHIELDZ is an Arduino shield compatible with Arduino Uno, Arduino Zero, or ESP8266. The shield has an on-board shunt resistor for line current measurement and enables quick evaluation and prototyping of energy measurement systems that use the ADE9153A. Arduino library and application examples are provided on the ADE9153A product page to simplify implementation of larger systems. Using mSure® autocalibration, the shield can be calibrated to measure energy with 1% accuracy over the dynamic range without the need for expensive calibration equipment.

The AD7280A contains all the functions required for general-purpose monitoring of stacked lithium ion batteries as used in hybrid electric vehicles, battery backup applications, and power tools. The part has multiplexed cell voltage and auxiliary ADC measurement channels for up to six cells of battery management. An internal ?3 ppm reference is provided that allows a cell voltage accuracy of ?1.6 mV. The ADC resolution is 12 bits and allows conversion of up to 48 cells within 7 ?s.The AD7280A operates from just one VDD supply that has a range of 8 V to 30 V (with an absolute maximum rating of 33 V). The part provides six differential analog input channels to accommodate large common-mode signals across the full VDD range. Each channel allows an input signal range, VIN(+) ? VIN(?), of 1 V to 5 V. The input pins assume a series stack of six cells. In addition, the part includes six auxiliary ADC input channels that can be used for temperature measurement or system diagnostics.The AD7280A includes on-chip registers that allow a sequence of channel measurements to be programmed to suit the applications requirements.The AD7280A also includes a dynamic alert function that can detect if the cell voltages or auxiliary ADC inputs exceed an upper or lower limit defined by the user. The AD7280A has cell balancing interface outputs designed to control external FET transistors to allow discharging of individual cells.The AD7280A includes a built in self-test feature that internally applies a known voltage to the ADC inputs.There is a daisy-chain interface that allows up to eight parts to be stacked without the need for individual device isolation.The AD7280A requires only one supply pin that takes 6.5 mA under normal operation, while converting at 1 MSPS.All this functionality is provided in a 48-lead LQFP package operating over a temperature range of ?40?C to +105?C.APPLICATIONS Lithium ion battery monitoring Electric and hybrid electric vehicles Power supply back up Power tools

The ADBMS18181 is a multicell battery stack monitor that measures up to 18 series connected battery cells with a total measurement error of less than 3.0 mV. The cell measurement range of 0 V to 5 V makes the ADBMS1818 suitable for most battery chemistries. All 18 cells can be measured in 290 ?s, and lower data acquisition rates can be selected for high noise reduction. Multiple ADBMS1818 devices can be connected in series, permitting simultaneous cell monitoring of long, high voltage battery strings. Each ADBMS1818 has an isoSPI? interface for high speed, RF immune, long distance communications. Multiple devices are connected in a daisy chain with one host processor connection for all devices. This daisy chain can be operated bidirectionally, ensuring communication integrity, even in the event of a fault along the communication path. The ADBMS1818 can be powered directly from the battery stack or from an isolated supply. The ADBMS1818 includes passive balancing for each cell, with individual PWM duty cycle control for each cell. Other features include an on-board 5 V regulator, nine general purpose I/O lines, and a sleep mode, where current consumption is reduced to 6 ?A. LTM4630A Demo Board | Dual 18A or Single 36A μModule Regulator

Demonstration circuit 2268A-F is a high efficiency, high density, dual 8A, switch mode step-down power supply on a compact 1.5' × 1.2' PCB. It features the LTM4630A μModule® regulator. The input voltage is from 4.5V to 15V. The output voltage is programmable from 0.6V to 5.3V. DC2268A-F can deliver up to 18A maximum in each channel. As explained in the data sheet, output current derating is necessary for certain VIN, VOUT, and thermal conditions. The board operates in continuous conduction mode in heavy load conditions. For high efficiency at low load currents, the resistor jumper (R1/R2) selects pulse-skipping mode for noise sensitive applications or Burst-Mode® in less noise sensitive applications. Two outputs can be connected in parallel for a single 36A output solution with optional jumper resistors. The board allows the user to program how its output ramps up and down through the TRACK/SS pin. Remote output voltage sensing is available for improved output voltage regulation at the load point. An optional input inductor L1 reduces the EMI noise for noise sensitive applications. DC2268A can be easily inserted to an edge connector for testing and debugging. These features and the availability of the LTM4630A in a compact 16mm × 16mm × 4.41mm LGA package make it ideal for use in many high-density point-of-load regulation applications. The LTM4630A data sheet must be read in conjunction with this demo manual for working on or modifying the DC2268A-F.
