The ADXL344 Development Board is an easy-to-use tool designed to shorten application development time by providing a ready-to-use platform for data collection and firmware development.
The board is pre-configured as a datalogger that can be used to gather data for refining algorithms, tuning thresholds, and generally familiarizing oneself with accelerometer data. Powered by two AAA batteries, the board is completely untethered and integrates seamlessly into portable applications. Logged data is stored on a MicroSD memory card, providing essentially unlimited memory capacity and operating system versatility. Data is stored in a text (.txt) file, so no software installation is required to operate the board or read data. A 2GB MicroSD card and a USB MicroSD card reader are provided with the board.
Additionally, the board is fully programmable, providing a hardware platform on which firmware can be tested in parallel with development of application hardware. Communications and processing are performed by an ARM7-based ADuC7024 micro-controller, and firmware is written in C. A programming cable is provided with the board, and a development environment and header files are supplied on this page.
Finally, the platform can be duplicated in the final application, having already been tested with the application firmware. Schematics and layout can be found under the Supporting Documentation tab and can be used freely in your application.
Note that this board is not configured to display real-time data. For real-time evaluation of the ADXL344, please refer to the Inertial Sensor Evaluation Board. For a simple ADXL344 Breakout Board, refer to the EVAL-ADXL344Z.

ADXL367 Breakout Board

The EVAL-ADXL367Z is a simple breakout board that enables easy connection of an ADXL367 into an existing system. The ADXL367 is a nanowatt, 3-axis, digital-output accelerometer whose industry leading low power consumption and built-in features make it ideal for use in a wide variety of applications. Due to its small size, the EVAL-ADXL367Z has minimal effect on performance of the system and of the accelerometer, and thus it is ideal for evaluation of the ADXL367 in an existing system. Note that the ADXL367 must be communicated with digitally via SPI or I2C. No processor is included with the EVAL-ADXL367Z; firmware must be supplied externally by the user. The ADXL213 is a low cost, low power, complete dual axis accelerometer with signal conditioned, duty cycle modulated outputs, all on a single monolithic IC. The ADXL213 measures acceleration with a full-scale range of ?1.2 g (typical). The ADXL213 can measure both dynamic acceleration (e.g., vibration) and static acceleration (e.g., gravity).The outputs are digital signals whose duty cycles (ratio of pulse width to period) are proportional to acceleration (30%/g). The duty cycle outputs can be directly measured by a microcontroller without an A/D converter or glue logic.Innovative design techniques are used to ensure high zero g bias stability (typically better than 0.25 mg/?C), as well as tight sensitivity stability (typically better than 50 ppm/?C).The typical noise floor is 160 ?g/?, allowing signals below 1 mg (0.06? of inclination) to be resolved in tilt sensing applications using narrow bandwidths (The user selects the bandwidth of the accelerometer usingcapacitors CX and CYM at the XFILT and YFILT pins. The AD8494/AD8495/AD8496/AD8497 are precision instrumentation amplifiers with thermocouple cold junction compensators on an integrated circuit. They produce a high level (5 mV/°C) output directly from a thermocouple signal by combining an ice point reference with a precalibrated amplifier. They can be used as standalone thermometers or as switched output setpoint controllers using either a fixed or remote setpoint control.The AD8494/AD8495/AD8496/AD8497 can be powered from a single-ended supply (less than 3 V) and can measure temperatures below 0°C by offsetting the reference input. To minimize self-heating, an unloaded AD849x typically operates with a total supply current of 180 μA, but it is also capable of delivering in excess of ±5 mA to a load.The AD8494 and AD8496 are precalibrated by laser wafer trimming to match the characteristics of J type (iron-constantan) thermocouples; the AD8495 and AD8497 are laser trimmed to match the characteristics of K type (chromel-alumel) thermo-couples. See Table 1 on the data sheet for the optimized ambient temperature range of each part.The AD8494/AD8495/AD8496/AD8497 allow a wide variety of supply voltages. With a 5 V single supply, the 5 mV/°C output allows the devices to cover nearly 1000 degrees of a thermo-couple’s temperature range.The AD8494/AD8495/AD8496/AD8497 work with 3 V supplies, allowing them to interface directly to lower supply ADCs. They can also work with supplies as large as 36 V in industrial systems that require a wide common-mode input range.Product Highlights Complete, precision laser wafer trimmed thermocouple signal conditioning system in a single IC package. Flexible pinout provides for operation as a setpoint controller or as a standalone Celsius thermometer. Rugged inputs withstand 4 kV ESD and provide over-voltage protection (OVP) up to VS ± 25 V. Differential inputs reject common-mode noise on the thermocouple leads. Reference pin voltage can be offset to measure 0°C on single supplies. Available in a small, 8-lead MSOP that is fully RoHS compliant.
