The LTC1628/LTC1628-PG are high performance dual step-down switching regulator controllers that drive all N-channel synchronous power MOSFET stages. A constant frequency current mode architecture allows adjustment of the frequency up to 300kHz. Power loss and noise due to the ESR of the input capacitors are minimized by operating the two controller output stages out of phase.OPTI-LOOP compensation allows the transient response to be optimized over a wide range of output capacitance and ESR values. The precision 0.8V reference and power good output indicator are compatible with future microprocessor generations, and a wide 3.5V to 30V (36V maximum) input supply range encompasses all battery chemistries.A RUN/SS pin for each controller provides both soft-start and optional timed, short-circuit shutdown. Current foldback limits MOSFET dissipation during short-circuit conditions when overcurrent latchoff is disabled. Output overvoltage protection circuitry latches on the bottom MOSFET until VOUT returns to normal. The FCB mode pin can select among Burst Mode, constant frequency mode and continuous inductor current mode or regulate a secondary winding. The LTC1628-PG includes a power good output pin that replaces the FLTCPL, fault coupling control pin of the LTC1628.Applications Notebook and Palmtop Computers, PDAs Battery Chargers Portable Instruments Battery-Operated Digital Devices DC Power Distribution Systems

AD8079BRZ
Analog Devices Inc.
The AD8079 is a dual, low power, high speed buffer designed to operate on ±5 V supplies. The AD8079's pinout offers excellent input and output isolation compared to the traditional dual amplifier pin configuration. With two ac ground pins separating both the inputs and outputs, the AD8079 achieves very low crosstalk of less than -70 dB at 5 MHz.Additionally, the AD8079 contains gain setting resistors factory set at G = +2.0 (A grade) or Gain = +2.2 (B grade) allowing circuit configurations with minimal external components. The B grade gain of +2.2 compensates for gain loss through a system by providing a single-point trim. Using active laser trimming of these resistors, the AD8079 guarantees tight control of gain and channel-channel gain matching. With its performance and figuration, the AD8079 is well suited for driving differential cables and transformers. Its low distortion and fast settling are ideal for buffering high speed dual or differential A-to-D converters. The AD8079 features a unique transimpedance linearization circuitry. This allows it to drive video loads with excellent differential gain and phase performance of 0.01% and 0.02° on only 50 mW of power per amplifier. It features gain flatness of 0.1 dB to 50 MHz. This makes the AD8079 ideal for professional video electronics such as cameras and video switchers. The AD8079 offers low power of 5 mA/amplifier (VS = ±5 V) and can run on a single +12 V power supply while delivering over 70 mA of load current. All of this is offered in a small 8-pin SOIC package. These features make this amplifier ideal for portable and battery powered applications where size and power are critical. The outstanding bandwidth of 260 MHz along with 800 V/µs of slew rate make the AD8079 useful in many general purpose high speed applications where dual power supplies of ±3 V to ±6 V are required. The AD8079 is available in the industrial temperature range of -40°C to +85°C.

AD807A-155BRZ
Analog Devices Inc.
The AD807 provides the receiver functions of data quantization, signal level detect, clock recovery and data retiming for 155 Mbps NRZ data. The device, together with a PIN diode/preamplifier combination, can be used for a highly integrated, low cost, low power SONET OC-3 or SDH STM-1 fiber optic receiver. The receiver front end signal level detect circuit indicates when the input signal level has fallen below a user adjustable threshold. The threshold is set with a single external resistor. The signal level detect circuit 3 dB optical hysteresis prevents chatter at the signal level detect output. The PLL has a factory trimmed VCO center frequency and a frequency acquisition control loop that combine to guarantee frequency acquisition without false lock. This eliminates a reliance on external components such as a crystal or a SAW filter, to aid frequency acquisition. The AD807 acquires frequency and phase lock on input data using two control loops that work without requiring external control. The frequency acquisition control loop initially acquires the frequency of the input data, acquiring frequency lock on random or scrambled data without the need for a preamble. At frequency lock, the frequency error is zero and the frequency detector has no further effect. The phase acquisition control loop then works to ensure that the output phase tracks the input phase. A patented phase detector has virtually eliminated pattern jitter throughout the AD807.The device VCO uses a ring oscillator architecture and patented low noise design techniques. Jitter is 2.0 degrees rms. This low jitter results from using a fully differential signal architecture, Power Supply Rejection Ratio circuitry and a dielectrically isolated process that provides immunity from extraneous signals on the IC. The device can withstand hundreds of millivolts of power supply noise without an effect on jitter performance. The user sets the jitter peaking and acquisition time of the PLL by choosing a damping factor capacitor whose value determines loop damping. CCITT G.958 Type A jitter transfer requirements can easily be met with a damping factor of 5 or greater.Device design guarantees that the clock output frequency will drift by less than 20% in the absence of input data transitions. Shorting the damping factor capacitor, CD, brings the clock output frequency to the VCO center frequency. The AD807 consumes 140 mW and operates from a single power supply at either +5 V or –5.2 V.

AD8099ARDZ-REEL
Analog Devices Inc.
The AD8099 is an ultralow noise (0.95nV/√Hz) and distortion (-92dBc @ 10MHz) voltage feedback op amp, the combination of which make it ideal for 16- and 18-bit systems. The AD8099 features a new, highly linear, low noise input stage that increases the full power bandwidth (FPBW) at low gains with high slew rates. ADI's proprietary next generation XFCB process enables such high performance amplifiers with relatively low power. The AD8099 features external compensation, which allows the user to set the gain bandwidth product. External compensation allows gains from +2 to +10 with minimal trade-off in bandwidth. The AD8099 also features an extremely high slew rate of 1350V/µs, giving the designer flexibility to use the entire dynamic range without trading off bandwidth or distortion. The AD8099 settles to 0.1% in 18 ns and recovers from overdrive in 50 ns.The AD8099 drives 100 W loads at breakthrough performance levels with only 15 mA of supply current. With the wide supply voltage range (5V to 12V), low offset voltage (0.1 mV typ), wide bandwidth (700MHz for G=+2), and a GBWP up to 3.8GHz, the AD8099 is designed to work in a wide variety of applications. The AD8099 is available in 3mm x 3mm lead frame chip scale package (LFCSP) with a new pinout that is specifically optimized for high performance, high speed amplifiers. The new package and pinout enable the breakthrough performance that previously was not achievable with amplifiers.
