Demonstration circuit 2024A features the LTC4282 high current Hot Swap™ controller. The LTC4282 is well suited to high power applications because the precise monitoring capability and accurate current limiting reduces the extremes in which both loads and power supplies must safely operate. Non-volatile configuration allows for flexibility in the autonomous generation of alerts and response to faults.

The ADP1754 /?ADP1755?are CMOS, low dropout linear regulators that operate from 1.6 V to 3.6 V and provide up to 1.2A of output current. These Low Vin?/ Vout LDOs are ideal for regulation of nanometer FPGA geometries operating from 2.5V down to 1.8V I/O rails, and powering core voltages down to 0.75V. Using an advanced proprietary architecture, they provide high power supply rejection, low noise, and achieve excellent line and load transient response with a small 4.7 ?F ceramic output capacitor.The ADP1754 is available in 7 fixed output voltage options. The ADP1755 is available in an adjustable version, which allows output voltages that range from 0.75 V to 3.0 V via an external divider. The ADP1754 / ADP1755 allows an external soft start capacitor to be connected to program the start-up. The ADRF5024 is a reflective, single-pole double-throw (SPDT) switch manufactured in the silicon process.This switch operates from 100 MHz to 44 GHz with better than 1.7 dB of insertion loss and 35 dB of isolation. The ADRF5024 has an radio frequency (RF) input power handling capability of 27 dBm for both the through path and hot switching.The ADRF5024 draws a low current of 14 ?A on the positive supply of +3.3 V and 120 ?A on negative supply of ?3.3 V. The device employs complementary metal-oxide semiconductor (CMOS)-/low voltage transistor to transistor logic (LVTTL)compatible controls.The ADRF5024 is pin-compatible with the ADRF5025, low frequency cutoff version, which operates from 9 kHz to 44 GHz.The ADRF5024 RF ports are designed to match a characteristic impedance of 50 ?. The AD5412/AD5422 are low cost, precision, fully integrated12-/16-bit digital-to-analog converters (DAC) offering a programmable current source and programmable voltage output designed to meet the requirements of industrial process control applications.The output current range is programmable at 4 mA to 20 mA, 0 mA to 20 mA, or an overrange function of 0 mA to 24 mA.The LFCSP version of this product has a CAP2 pin so that the HART signals can be coupled onto the current output of the AD5412/AD5422.Voltage output is provided from a separate pin that can be configured to provide 0 V to 5 V, 0 V to 10 V, ?5 V, or ?10 V output ranges; an overrange of 10% is available on all ranges.Analog outputs are short and open-circuit protected and can drive capacitive loads of 1 ?F.The device operates with an AVDD power supply range from 10.8 V to 40 V. Demo board DC2783A features the LT3040, a 200mA high performance, robust voltage reference/DAC buffer. LT3040 has ultralow output noise, ultrahigh power supply rejection ratio (PSRR) and low dropout voltage for powering noise sensitive, high accuracy systems. DC2783A has two inputs: V+ and VIN. V+ supplies power to the buffer, operating over a range from 2V to 20V. VIN is the regulation set-point for the output with a range from 0V to 15V. Current limit is programmable by connecting a resistor, R3, from ILIM to GND. The ILIM can also serve as a current monitor pin with a range from 0V to 300mV. LT3040 has fast start capability. Connecting FS pin across an input low pass filter resistor, R2, fast starts the LT3040. Fast start circuitry is typically triggered active if VFS − VIN ≥ 100mV and stays active until VFS – VIN ≤ 7mV. If fast start functionality is not needed, connect FS to VIN by setting R2 to 0Ω and applying the input voltage at FS. LT3040 has a fault flag to indicate faults at the output. Built-in protection includes reverse battery protection, reverse current protection, internal current limit with foldback and thermal limit with hysteresis. The LT3040 is assembled in a 12-lead MSOP and a 10-lead (3mm x 3mm) plastic DFN package with an exposed pad on the bottom-side of the IC. Proper board layout is essential for maximum thermal performance.
