AD7472ARZ

Analog Devices Inc.
The AD7470/AD7472 are 10-bit /12-bit high speed, low power, successive-approximation ADCs. The parts operate from a single 2.7 V to 5.25 V power supply and feature throughput rates up to 1.5 MSPS for the 12-bit AD7472 and up to 1.75 MSPS for the 10-bit AD7470. The parts contain a low-noise, wide bandwidth track/hold amplifier which can handleinput frequencies in excess of 20 MHz.The conversion process and data acquisition are controlledusing standard control inputs, allowing easy interfacing tomicroprocessors or DSPs. The input signal is sampled on thefalling edge of CONVST, and conversion is also initiated atthis point. BUSY goes high at the start of conversion andgoes low 531.66 ns after falling edge of CONVST (AD7472with a clock frequency of 26 MHz) to indicate that the conversionis complete. There are no pipeline delays associatedwith the parts. The conversion result is accessed via standardCS and RD signals over a high speed parallel interface. The AD7470/AD7472 use advanced design techniques toachieve very low power dissipation at high throughput rates. With3 V supplies and 1.5 MSPS throughput rates, the AD7470typically consumes, on average, just 1.1 mA. With 5 V suppliesand 1.75 MSPS, the average current consumption is typically1.6 mA. The part also offers flexible power/throughput ratemanagement. Operating the AD7470 with 3 V supplies and500 kSPS throughput reduces the current consumption to 713 μA.At 5 V supplies and 500 kSPS, the part consumes 944 μA.It is also possible to operate the parts in an auto sleep mode, where the part wakes up to do a conversion and automaticallyenters sleep mode at the end of conversion. This method allowsvery low power dissipation numbers at lower throughput rates. In this mode, the AD7472 can be operated with 3 V supplies at100 kSPS, and consume an average current of just 124 μA. At5 V supplies and 100 kSPS, the average current consumption is171 μA.The analog input range for the part is 0 V to REF IN. The 2.5 Vreference is applied externally to the REF IN pin. The conversionrate is determined by the externally-applied clock.ol { margin-top:0px; margin-right:0px; margin-bottom:0px; margin-left:25px; padding-top:0px; padding-right:0px; padding-bottom:10px; padding-left:0px;}li { padding-top:0px; padding-right:0px; padding-bottom:5px; padding-left:0px; margin-top:0px; margin-right:0px; margin-bottom:0px; margin-left:0px;}Product HighlightsHigh Throughput with Low Power Consumption. TheAD7470 offers 1.75 MSPS throughput and the AD7472offers 1.5 MSPS throughput rates with 4 mW powerconsumption.Flexible Power/Throughput Rate Management. The conversionrate is determined by an externally-applied clock allowingthe power to be reduced as the conversion rate is reduced. The part also features an auto sleep mode to maximize powerefficiency at lower throughput rates. No Pipeline Delay. The part features a standard successiveapproximation ADC with accurate control of the samplinginstant via a CONVST input and once off conversion control.

AD767AD

Analog Devices Inc.
The AD767 is a complete voltage output 12-bit digital-to-analog converter including high stability buried Zener reference and input latch on a single chip. The converter uses 12 precision high-speed bipolar current steering switches and a laser-trimmed thin-film resistor network to provide high accuracy.Microprocessor compatibility is achieved by the on-chip latch. The design of the input latch allows direct interface to 12-bit buses. The latch responds to strobe pulses as short as 40 ns, allowing use with the fastest available microprocessors. The functional completeness and high performance of the AD767 result from a combination of advanced switch design, high-speed bipolar manufacturing process, and the proven laser wafer-trimming (LWT) technology. The subsurface (buried) Zener diode on the chip provides a low-noise voltage reference which has long-term stability and temperature drift characteristics comparable to the best discrete reference diodes. The laser trimming process which provides the excellent linearity is also used to trim the absolute value of the reference as well as its temperature coefficient. The AD767 is thus well suited for wide temperature range performance with ±½ LSB maximum linearity error and guaranteed monotonicity over the full temperature range. Typical full-scale gain is 5 ppm/ºC.

AD7820KRZ

Analog Devices Inc.
The AD7820 is a high speed, microprocessor-compatible 8-bit ADC which uses a half-flash conversion technique to achieve a conversion time of 1.36 µs. The converter has a 0 V to +5 V analog input voltage range with a single +5 V supply. The half-flash technique consists of 31 comparators, a most significant 4-bit ADC and a least significant 4-bit ADC. The input to the AD7820 is tracked and held by the input sampling circuitry, eliminating the need for an external sample-and-hold for signals with slew rates less than 100 mV/µs.The part is designed for ease of microprocessor interface with the AD7820 appearing as a memory location or I/O port without the need for external interfacing logic. All digital outputs use latched, three-state output buffer circuitry to allow direct connection to a microprocessor data bus or system input port. A non-three state overflow output is also provided to allow cascading of devices to give higher resolution.

AD7845KRZ

Analog Devices Inc.
The AD7845 is the industry's first 4-quadrant multiplying D/A converter with an on-chip amplifier. It is fabricated on the LC2MOS process, which allows precision linear components and digital circuitry to be implemented on the same chip. The 12 data inputs drive latches which are controlled by standard CS and WR signals, making microprocessor interfacing simple. For stand-alone operation, the CS and WR inputs can be tied to ground, making all latches transparent. All digital inputs are TTL and 5 V CMOS compatible. The output amplifier can supply ±10 V into a 2k(ohm) load. It is internally compensated, and its input offset voltage is low due to laser trimming at wafer level. For normal operation, RFB is tied to VOUT, but the user may alternatively choose RA, RB or RC to scale the output voltage range.

AD8073JRZ-REEL

Analog Devices Inc.
The AD8072 (dual) and AD8073 (triple) are low cost, current feedback amplifiers intended for high volume, cost sensitive applications. In addition to being low cost, these amplifiers deliver solid video performance into a 150 (ohm) load while consuming only 3.5 mA per amplifier of supply current. Furthermore, the AD8073 is three amplifiers in a single 14-pin narrow-body SOIC package. This makes it ideal for applications where small size is essential. Each amplifier’s inputs and output are accessible providing added gain setting flexibility. These devices provide 30 mA of output current per amplifier, and are optimized for driving one back terminated video load (150 (ohm)) each. These current feedback amplifiers feature gain flatness of 0.1 dB to 10 MHz while offering differential gain and phase error of 0.05% and 0.1°. This makes the AD8072 and AD8073 ideal for business and consumer video electronics. Both will operate from a single +5 V to +12 V power supply. The outputs of each amplifier swing to within 1.3 volts of either supply rail to accommodate video signals on a single +5 V supply. The high bandwidth of 100 MHz, 500 V/µs of slew rate, along with settling to 0.1% in 25 ns, make the AD8072 and AD8073 useful in many general purpose, high speed applications where a single +5 V or dual power supplies up to ±6 V are needed. The AD8072 is available in 8-pin plastic DIP and SOIC packages while the AD8073 is available in 14-pin plastic DIP and SOIC packages. Both operate over the commercial temperature range of 0°C to +70°C.
