ADM1275-2ARQZ
Analog Devices Inc.
The ADM1275 is a hot-swap controller that allows a circuit board to be removed from or inserted into a live backplane. It also features current and voltage readback via an integrated 12-bit analog-to-digital converter (ADC), accessed using a PMBus™ interface. The load current is measured using an internal current sense amplifier that measures the voltage across a sense resistor in the power path via the SENSE+ and SENSE− pins. A default limit of 20 mV is set, but this limit can be adjusted, if required, using a resistor divider network from the internal reference voltage to the ISET pin.The ADM1275 limits the current through the sense resistor by controlling the gate voltage of an external N-channel FET in the power path, via the GATE pin. The sense voltage—and, therefore, the load current—is maintained below the preset maximum. The ADM1275 protects the external FET by limiting the time that the FET remains on while the current is at its maximum value. This current limit time is set by the choice of capacitor connected to the TIMER pin. In addition, a foldback resistor network can be used to actively lower the current limit as the voltage across the FET is increased. This helps to maintain constant power in the FET and allows the safe operating area (SOA) to be adhered to in an effective manner. In case of a short-circuit event, a fast internal overcurrent detector responds within 370 ns and signals the gate to shut down. A 1500 mA pull-down device ensures a fast FET response. The ADM1275 features overvoltage and undervoltage protection, programmed using external resistor dividers on the UV and OV pins. A PWRGD signal can be used to detect when the output supply is valid, using the FLB pin to monitor the output. GPO pins can be configured as various output signals that can be asserted when a programmed current or voltage level is reached. The 12-bit ADC can measure the current in the sense resistor, as well as the supply voltage on the SENSE+ pin or the output voltage. A PMBus interface allows a controller to read current and voltage data from the ADC. Measurements can be initiated by a PMBus command. Alternatively, the ADC can run continuously, and the user can read the latest conversion data whenever required. Up to four unique PMBus addresses can be selected, depending on the way that the ADR pin is connected. The ADM1275-1 and ADM1275-3 are available in a 20-lead QSOP and 20-lead LFCSP and have a LATCH pin that can be configured for automatic retry or latch-off when an overcurrent fault occurs. The ADM1275-2 is available in a 16-lead QSOP with latch-off mode only.Applications Power monitoring and control/power budgeting Central office equipment Telecommunication and data communication equipment PCs/servers

The ADM1490E / ADM1491E are RS-485/RS-422 transceivers with ±8 kV ESD protection and are suitable for high speed, full-duplex communication on multipoint transmission lines. In particular, the ADM1490E/ADM1491E are designed for use in motor control applications requiring communications at data rates up to 16 Mbps. The ADM1490E / ADM1491E are designed for balanced transmission lines and comply with TIA/EIA-485-A-98. The devices each have a 12 kΩ receiver input impedance for unit load RS-485 operation, allowing up to 32 nodes on the bus.The differential transmitter outputs and receiver inputs feature electrostatic discharge circuitry that provides protection to ±8 kV using the human body model (HBM).The ADM1490E / ADM1491E operate from a single 5 V power supply. Excessive power dissipation caused by bus contention or output shorting is prevented by short-circuit protection and thermal circuitry. Short-circuit protection circuits limit the maximum output current to ±250 mA during fault conditions. A thermal shutdown circuit senses if the die temperature rises above 150°C and forces the driver outputs into a high impedance state under this condition. The receiver of the ADM1490E / ADM1491E contains a fail-safe feature that results in a logic high output state if the inputs are unconnected (floating). The ADM1490E / ADM1491E feature extremely fast and closely matched switching times. Minimal driver propagation delays permit transmission at data rates up to 16 Mbps, and low skew minimizes EMI interference. The ADM1490E/ADM1491E are fully specified over the commercial and industrial temperature ranges. The ADM1490E is available in two packages: a narrow body, 8-lead SOIC and an 8-lead MSOP. The ADM1491E is also available in two packages: a narrow body, 14-lead SOIC and a 10-lead MSOP.APPLICATIONS RS-485/RS-422 interfaces Industrial field networks High data rate motor control Multipoint data transmission systems Single-ended-to-differential signal conversion

ADM2914-1ARQZ-RL7
Analog Devices Inc.
The ADM2914 is a quad voltage supervisory IC ideally suitedfor monitoring multiple rails in a wide range of applications. Each monitored rail has two dedicated input pins, VHx and VLx, which allow each rail to be monitored for both overvoltage (OV) and undervoltage (UV) conditions. A common active lowundervoltage (UV) and overvoltage (OV) pin is shared by each of the monitored voltage rails. The ADM2914 includes a 1 V buffered reference output, REF,that acts as an offset when monitoring a negative voltage. Thethree-state SEL pin determines the polarity of the third andfourth inputs, that is, it configures the device to monitorpositive or negative supplies. The device incorporates an internal shunt regulator that enablesthe device to be used in higher voltage systems. This featurerequires a resistor to be placed between the main supply rail andthe VCC pin to limit the current flow into the VCC pin to no greater than 10 mA. The ADM2914 uses the internal shuntregulator to regulate VCC if the supply line exceeds the absolute maximum ratings. The ADM2914 is available in two models. The ADM2914-1offers a latching overvoltage output that can be cleared by toggling the LATCH input pin. The ADM2914-2 has a disablepin that can override and disable both the OV and UVoutputsignals. The ADM2914 is available in a 16-lead QSOP package. Thedevice operates over the extended temperature range of −40°Cto +125°C.Applications Server supply monitoring FPGA/DSP core and I/O voltage monitoring Telecommunications equipment Medical equipment

The ADM6305 / ADM6306 are dual voltage supervisors designed to monitor two supplies and provide a reset signal to DSP- and microprocessor-based systems. Low supply current and a small form factor make these devices suitable for portable and battery-operated applications. If a monitored power supply voltage falls below the minimum voltage threshold, a single active low output asserts triggering a system reset. Once all voltages rise above the selected threshold level, the reset signal remains low for the reset timeout period. Four reset timeout options are available. The ADM6305 monitors two supplies via two adjustable resistor-programmable undervoltage reset inputs. Both RST IN1 and RST IN2 have a reset threshold of either 0.4 V or 1.23 V depending on the particular model; that is, the RST IN1 and RST IN2 threshold of the ADM6305DxARJZ model is 1.23 V, while in the case of ADM6305DxARJZ1 model, it is 0.4 V. The VCC input of the ADM6305 is not a monitored input. The ADM6306 has one adjustable undervoltage reset input, RST IN, which features a choice of reset threshold, 0.4 V or 1.23 V (see the Ordering Guide for more information). The ADM6306 incorporates a variety of internally pretrimmed VCC undervoltage threshold options for monitoring supply voltages in increments between 2.5 V and 5 V. The ADM6306 also includes a manual reset input. The ADM6305 / ADM6306 RESET output remains valid as long as VCC exceeds 0.9 V.The ADM6305 / ADM6306 are available in a 5-lead SOT-23 package. These devices are specified over the temperature range of −40°C to +125°C.APPLICATIONS Portable/battery-operated equipment Microprocessor systems Multivoltage applications
